Men Going Their Own Way
Nov 30th, 2024 at 5:00pm

I was married and divorced.
I'm a man who is very happy to live alone -
I enjoy my own company.

I remember when I was working -
all the married guys were so jealous of my lifestyle -
always going out with such gorgeous women - mainly skinny Latin American dance partners.
Those poor married guys - they looked miserable -
all their wives ate pizza quite a lot and were obese.   Embarrassed

When guys complain about their wife or girlfriend it makes the guy look stupid.
You chose to be with her it shows you make poor choices.

We have all made mistakes my biggest one was getting with a young lady who lied to my boss to get my number.
She said she needed to contact me as i had her purse and bracelet which led to many asking WTF am i doing with them.
I was young she was hot i didn't recognise the massive red flag on how easily she could lie and they didn't stop right up to when i left her.

My current missus asked me out and paid for dinner on the first date.
She doesn't ask me how much i spend on guns boats and fun in return i never ask how much of her money she spends on shoes clothes and makeup.

One married at work guy got fed up with his wife eating pizza and getting fat.

When she put the dial a pizza on the table - he grabbed a knife and cut it in half.
He put the other half in the fridge and told her -
you only get half - he said -
I'm not having no fat bitch living at my place.
He fed the other half to his dog the next day - the dog loved it.
I saw him a few years later and she had divorced him.   Embarrassed

Does this dress make me look fat?

Honest answer-
It's all that ice cream you eat that makes you look fat

This thought had been ruminating in my head for quite some time. I was practising thinking about how to say it, when I was out for my walk. I had decided that I will never get married, and probably will be alone for a long time.

I mean, what I have got to gain? I have been hurt too many times to be bothered trying for something new. Perhaps I will date again. But, at 45 years of age, I have decided to just let my children grow up and be their own adult selves.

Of particular, I have had relationships that ended not much longer than when they started. Sometimes it is a self-inflicted problem. Other times it is the other person.

1. I have had issues where an ex had been using me as the "loser ex-boyfriend" so that she could make her current partner feel better about himself. "At least you are not him" she would point me out saying to her boyfriend.

2. A 17 y.o. girl has started to stalk me, as a result of when I would try to comfort her about her abuse, when she was 14 years old. One hug to settle her down, and all of a sudden I am her 42 y.o. boyfriend.

3. The fact that I work at a restaurant with a staff of age ranges 15 to 25 years of age, I have been ordered to keep quiet and be thought of as a fool. Rather than to open my mouth and make everyone else seem like intellectual absentees. Who the **** does not read a book these days or watch a movie?

So, I sit at home and drink. And play computer games. And read. And keep away from the outside world. When I am at work, I cannot wait to keep away from the staff that are more interested in their phones than what goes on in politics.

My life has gone from having everything ahead of me, to it being all over in a matter of 8 years. I have never been so disappointed in society in all my life.

Perhaps you split up because you couldn't be honest with each other Wink

If you can't be honest you don't have trust therefore you have nothing the relationship is doomed.

Just be happy if you're alone -
you don't have anyone annoying you or complaining about you.
If friends want to see you they can as long as you do too.
If not then they are probably not good friends anyway.

Get a dog or a cat - get both -
as long as you're in a steady location and don't have to go away and leave them.

I can barely look after myself, let alone an animal. I would have a pet, by now, if it was not for the fact that I have to look after my parents in their naivety. As I keep saying, my father is too controlling in my life that I have given up trying to build another relationship. I have been hurt too many times to be bothered trying to get into another one.

I gave up worrying what my father thought about me when I was 19.

I figured out that I was a lot smarter than both parents when I was 14 years old. I moved out of home at age 21 and figured out that I was missing out on life since I was 16 years old.

Yes - I found out that my parents were misguided as they believed everything
they read or watched in the news.
