In fact, how about Brian come in and put his case forward as to why he wants to moderate this board.
Haven’t seen as much as a whisper and I was actually surprised to see him put his name up for nomination as it’s not a board that may suit him. It’s more or less menial chit chat in here.

All three candidates should do that. Should do that a week before voting starts.

There's the problem. He has none. In fact, he said he did not want to moderate and that his nomination was ONLY to test out "where I stand on this forum."

Let's not gushily guild the lily, hold hands and sing Kumbaya, LOLS. Facts are what they are, and he said what he said, just like Grappler did. I choose to believe them because the alternative is to say they are both liars.

Neither want the job. That leaves one candidate, like it or not.

I have just come through a few months of relative hell in my own personal offline life. Perhaps if I was given some responsibility, I might show you how good I can be. I seem to be the most impartial person on this website. And I think I have a reasonable amount of wisdom to let people get away with the general banter, and pull up those that are in breach of Australian laws.

That does seem to be the "moderation" of this site. If a post would get the admins in trouble with the law, it has to go.

The offer is withdrawn, by the way. I have no desire to be the most hated presence, and I will just have to accept the ball of warts which is Ozpolitic.

**P.S. - looking made me laugh.. Bryan.... he'd yawn us all to death... and he's too onboard with all the lovey-doveys....

Bryan:- "Oh, Harold - pink shoes and a blue hairstyle today! When's your cut? We'll all have a drink to its success! How is your heroic woke campaigning going?"

Me:- (quotes Billy Connelly) - "Yer hair's dyed an' ye're wearin' plastic shoes - gotta be a POOF! Would yer like a pink fluffy duck or something? No campaigning in the Tavern."

Rocky:- "When I was an unofficial scout sniper we didn't have too many illegitimate daughters in the Olympics while studying about the cuckoo's nest ... and sometimes I'm actually in touch with the world!"

I want Sophia for Mod... she's smart and also level-headed - unlike we blokes. Carried on the shoulders of the crowd and placed by acclaim on the top seat of The Tavern!! A little popular revolution on the front porch never hurt nobody....
