Australia Day

I am really sick and tired of these attacks on Australia Day that are now happening every year in the lead up to the day by "woke" morons seeking to impose their beliefs upon everyone else. Can you imagine going to Indonesia and seeing them not celebrate Ramadan for fear of insulting non-Muslims? Can you imagine going to the United States and seeing them not celebrate Independence Day for fear of insulting the British? It's just absurd. What occurred on January 26, 1788 for better or worse is part of our history and helped make Australia the wonderful country it is today.

The landing of Captain Cook in 1788 happened at a time when the world and the way governments behaved (especially with regard to newly discovered lands and peoples) was very different to how the world is today and none of us were around then. Such a thing would not happen today, with proof lying in the fact that there are many untouched tribes in remote parts of the world today that are deliberately left alone so they can continue their way of life. It was just a different time. Today, Australia Day is a day to celebrate being Australian and living in this great country and being able to enjoy the way of life we have available to us today.
