the buddha had some thoughts on this...

he would practice sitting and allowing misquitoes to land and bite him whilst maintaining a state of mental equilibrium

The Buddha had thoughts on yawn posts?

Buddhist mental equilibrium or nonreactive mindfulness would necessarily exclude posting about it.

buddha also saw himself as a teacher and wished to spread enlightenment

aquascoot in a spirit of educating the frustrated masses , advises to post about it whilst feeling compassion for the suffering being who posted it AND do your mental push ups (resistance training) by remaining calm and compassionate to a fellow traveller who has lost his way

Proselytisation is not a Buddhist practise.

why not learn from the best.

if your lifes purpose is to remain as safe and as comfortable as possible, you are pissing away the meaning of your life, because there is no comfort or safety.

so, just as we train our bodies to try to be  fit for purpose, so we train out minds

its work,

nothing happens without loving the grind

what else is worthwhile doing?
why not see how much you can push yourself mentally?

sort of like wimm hoff climbing everest in thongs

why not
what better thing have you got to do ?

In the Buddhist context, loving or hating the grind or pushing yourself, (samudaya), is grasping, holding on, being hung up - the cause of suffering, (dukkha).

The four noble truths: dukkha, samudaya, nirodha, magga.

i call a lot of spirituality now adays "california  spirituality"
people who are basicly lazy but want to cover it up by saying they are "spiritual"

the outward appearance of an enlightened person and a lazy bum is similar.
just dont own much and flit about refusing to take on respnsibility

both buddha and jesus and indeed mo , took on a lot of responsibility and did a lot of work

i think they find that sort of lazy bum spirituality a fake

i think the way forward is to hustle your ass off,
as a young guy you want to and should get pussy and cash , just so you can realise how hollow those goals are

this seems the only way to transcend the paradigm

then you should try working 100 hr weeks , so you can prove to your brain that you can do it

in fact, the path to enlightenment lies in continually pushing yourself

didnt jesus go on a 40 day fast?
didnt buddha sleep amongst corpses and try to stay awake for 12 days ?

go watch a winn hoff video
that guy is emlightened  Wink

Then, you're not preaching Buddhism... You're preaching 'TonyRobbinsism' - or whatever name you want to ascribe to Americanised self-actualisation.

Jesus and Mohammed were not Buddhists. Jesus was an ascetic Jewish zealot-cum-posthumous messiah. Mohammed was a tribal warlord-cum-warrior high priest.

Whatever asceticism the Buddha is credited with, occurred before his enlightenment - by his own teachings, it was his letting go of asceticism that led directly to his enlightenment.

We're culturally backwards here. The Buddhists in Australia are sex molesters, love biffo and sit under a tree like an unemployed lazy thinking about where the money went after the last hooker.

Brian is a little shrimp bully with a moustache you find in the backstreets of Bangkok.
He'll keep trolling his emoji, regardless of what challenge Set (as a Gmod) does in the Board he Mods. He's a Dictator and that's what Dictators do.
Brian probably laughed at Set's attempt when he deleted his posts with a confidence that nothing will be done against his trolling emoji. For that is what it is. To troll topics like a little boy relishing a power trip.

(didn't take long...!)

It's a Sanskrit acronym for 'Make A Guru Great Again'... It's why Vivek Ramaswamy is part of Trump's team - his name refers to 'Lord Rama'.

Now Brian is calling other members 'trolls'
rather than use his emoji.
He's obviously just a blight on this Forum and nothing else.

vivek is an interesting case.

he was a tech head and worth hundreds of millions and had a good family.'
he could have optimised for safety and comfort and just cruised

but instead he took on the challenge of jumping into the hornets nest, big cut in income and way more pressure and haters.

this , i consider, is the fast track to climbing the paradigms
