Kamala Harris Named 'Person Of The Year' By Wine Enthusiast

"She blew every other candidate out of the water," said Jacqueline Strum, the magazine's editor and publisher. "Each year, we look for the person who the public would think of most synonymously with wine. While there is typically a healthy debate to come up with a winner in other years, 2024 was far and away Kamala Harris's year. Her campaign speeches, the debate performance… she absolutely dominated."

Harris was honored to accept the award. "As someone who was born into a middle-class family, this is the greatest achievement of my life," she said in a video statement. "Wine Enthusiast is for enthusiasts. Enthusiasts are people who are enthusiastic. And enthusiasm is a tremendous thing. Wine is amazing, am I right? Wine is what life is all about. My life, at least. In that sense, wine is life. And life is meant to be lived with enthusiasm. And that is why I love wine. Somebody get me another bottle! HAHAHAHA!"

I danced with my 12-year-old daughter when I was 39. I gave a 14 y.o. girl a piggy-back ride when I was 35 years old. I shouted a 15 y.o. co-worker to the movies to let her watch an "MA" rated movie. I shouted a 13 y.o. some McDonalds when she was upset and needed someone to talk to. I was 41 years old at the time.

I broke no laws and was not considered "creepy" or unfit to be around these girls. There mothers (and fathers) consider them safe around me, and they like it that I give their children some handy life experience advice.

The girls are now 19, 24, 16 and 17 years old. All of whom (except my daughter) are rape/domestic violence victims. I talked the 13 y.o. out of suicide. The 15 y.o. wanted to get away from both the heat of the day, plus the abuse of her 'uncle'. The 14 y.o. had drug addicted brothers who showed little capacity for reasoning.

Don't judge men featured in photos as being of unsound mind. Trump is trying to be a father. If he can build a rapport with the young, he can consolidate his popularity.
