Leroy,

Posting on an Australian board,
you should probably point out that the ABC you are referring to,
is the N. American ABC network.

And not 'our' ABC.

ABC will pay $15 million as part of a legal settlement with President-elect Donald Trump, closing out a dispute that centered on an interview in which Trump alleged anchor George Stephanopoulos defamed him.

Stephanopoulos said during the interview that Trump "has been found liable for rape by a jury." Trump, however, was found liable in a civil case for sexually abusing Carroll, not liable for her alleged rape. The nine-member jury in that case checked the box marked "no" when asked whether Carroll had proven “by a preponderance of the evidence” that “Mr. Trump raped Ms. Carroll.”

Shame they ABC insurance played maths instead of taking the risk, they most likely win the case as what they had said was supported by the judge in the case.

Yep - Trump is tired if winning - Greggy - take note:

Dec. 15, 2024,

By Megan Lebowitz

WASHINGTON — ABC will pay $15 million as part of a legal settlement with President-elect Donald Trump, closing out a dispute that centered on an interview in which Trump alleged anchor George Stephanopoulos defamed him.

The money will be transferred to "a Presidential foundation and museum to be established by or for" Trump, according to the settlement terms, which were released on Saturday.

The defendants, identified by the settlement as ABC, ABC News and Stephanopoulos, will also pay $1 million to Trump's counsel and add a note to an online article about the interview declaring that they "regret statements" about Trump, according to the settlement.

Carroll.”

Trump has consistently denied Carroll’s claims.

Trump ordered to pay additional $83.3 million to E. Jean Carroll in defamation case

NEW YORK (AP) — A jury has awarded a huge $83.3 million in additional damages to advice columnist E. Jean Carroll, who says former President Donald Trump damaged her reputation by calling her a liar after she accused him of sexual assault.

The verdict was delivered Friday by a seven-man, two-woman jury in a trial regularly attended by Trump, who abruptly left the courtroom during closing arguments by Carroll’s lawyer, only to later return.

Judge says E Jean Carroll allegation Trump raped her is ‘substantially true’ in court dismissal

Donald Trump suffered another legal reversal on Monday, losing his counterclaim for defamation against E Jean Carroll, the writer against whom he was found liable for sexual abuse and defamation and fined $5m, and who continues to pursue a separate defamation case against him.

Dismissing the counterclaim, a judge in New York, Lewis A Kaplan, said that when Carroll repeated her allegation that Trump raped her, her words were “substantially true”. Kaplan also set out in detail why it may be said that Trump raped Carroll.

“As the court explained in its recent decision denying Mr Trump’s motion for a new trial on damages and other relief [in the New York case] … based on all of the evidence at trial and the jury’s verdict as a whole, the jury’s finding that Mr Trump ‘sexually abused’ Ms Carroll implicitly determined that he forcibly penetrated her digitally – in other words, that Mr Trump in fact did ‘rape’ Ms Carroll as that term commonly is used and understood in contexts outside of the New York penal law.”

NEW YORK, Feb 23 (Reuters) - Donald Trump was formally ordered by a New York judge to pay $454.2 million after being found liable for manipulating his net worth, in a civil fraud case brought by New York state's attorney general.

Greggy,
apologise to Trump -

Stephanopoulos said during the interview that Trump "has been found liable for rape by a jury."

Trump, however, was found liable in a civil case for sexually abusing Carroll, not liable for her alleged rape.
