A ban on doctors prescribing an ‘off label’ drug that patients seek for unapproved treatment of Covid-19 has been revoked by the Queensland chief health officer.

So there was no restrictions on their speech. The restrictions are on what they are allowed to prescribe for covid.

Doctors have never been free to prescribe whatever they like for any condition. There are strong regulations about what drugs can be used for what purposes
