My cost for health care is virtually nothing except for the monthly premium for insurance, nothing astronomical about it.

So, the world's best health system so long as you don't need it, then!

The rich and powerful come to this country for medical treatments that are superior to anywhere else in the world. Any day of the year if I decide I need to see a Doctor I can see one that day and start treatment if needed.

It's a thing with Americans to imagine that the US excels in everything.

Nearly every first-world country offers immediate access to doctors and healthcare... The US doesn't even rank in the top 5 for access to the best medical treatment, the world's best quality and healthcare, and barely makes the top 10...

And nevermind that you restricted access to the best US medical care to the rich and powerful.

Is THE example of why we must never go down that path......

I collapsed on the treadmill with heart failure at the specialist's and he half-carried me into his office personally.

Something we can agree on, imagine how many things wouldn't exist if not for America. The US isn't driving your cars, flying your planes or buying much of anything you produce. However the number one cause of death in the US is medical mistakes. You can die elsewhere from lack of treatment or here from too much.

America have one of the worst health systems in the world. They have had qualified and health experts run the system and yet it is still one of the worst in the world.

But they take pride in their health system and do not want unqualified people running it and ruining their poor record.

Thats the big fear, if RFK can make the system better then the qualified people will look stupid.

Absolutely no worry about that happening. He can break anything. Guy is a nutter.

There are not many industries where if someone is killed the people cheer and it doesn't really seem to be much more than self defence. I suspect that people wouldn't mind seeing more Health CEO's unalived. This is a very sad situation.

An industry that contributes to the death of close to 100,000 people per year has problems.

The US health industry is profit driven and corrupt.

But of course. As soon as I read a lie-free reply, I'll say.

Until then, your drug companies aren't spending all their money on research and development, dear, they're spending it on marketing - to you. Your drug companies put ads on the tele to get you running off to your doctors to ask for drugs.

Here Down Under, that's haram. Yet another reason why we pay less for our drugs.

My experience of the US health care system? Watching ads for Zoloft on your free-to-air TV. It's not just your politicians getting farmed by big pharma, dear, it's you

You?

Yes, Mort, you. Triple the cost of the same level of care as us Down Under. The most expensive health care system in the world, and a large proportion of your population can't even afford what your dogs take for granted at your vets.

You.

You saw it on the boob tube, now that must be the final source of truth. My personal experience and observations can't possibly compete with that. I have never known anyone bankrupted by medical bills however I have known many people who did it with credit cards.

Not at all, you poor old thing. Your own DL said it. Here he is, telling you how much more you pay for healthcare than anybody else, and how he's tasked RFK Jnr with fixing it up

Do you have a problem with that?
