Dear oh, dear - all those empty soft drink bottles lying around for years and suddenly starting fires...

These bush fires started early at the onset of just one hot day!
I says to other half, why? There’s no lightening they can blame!

Here’s a report from a Facebook friend she wrote 14 hours ago…

Everyone take care and stay away from Gippy hwy near Gurdies on the way to Phillip Island! Huge fires and we got stuck on the freeway with fires on both sides and trapped in because of those dumb ass side rails! Road is blocked and no warning, honestly the most frightening experience I’ve had! Please don’t attempt to head that way and take care! We finally got diverted and had to come home - safe now ❤️

Our skies were pinky weird colour and sun was red.
I’m nervous where we live. Hubby slashed property again and gave grass the shortest crew cut! I’m certain our local CFA will be impressed  Grin
Thinking of getting all photos etc and putting in storage for summer.

I'm gearing up to do another movie of it - hopefully with better stuff than last time. Changing computers gave me some corrupted videos.... buggar.  So that's how many big fires in Victoria at the moment?

Just one high population area now:-

No one seems to care about Western Australia.  They have just had a massive bushfire to the north of the city that required an evacuation of an entire town and it doesn't even rate a mention in the MSM back east or here.  Tsk, tsk, tsk... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

It's natural for Australia to burn.
Trying to stop it is unnatural.
Gotta learn to adapt to it
Or you'll perish.

WA is so … way over there away from the rest of us … almost a country in their own.
So far away in fact that any bushfires, tsunamis etc don’t affect us or come anywhere near us.

Let me tell you who else gets absolutely no mention in USA.
Canada!
I actually noticed this back in 2016 when we were touring the Rockies … Canada had its worst wildfires!
On US TV…. Only saw about debate between Trump and Hilary. That’s it!
Not a single empathic word for their neighbouring country!
