With a voter turnout around 66% in 2020, the majority of voters did not want Biden who got a bit over 51% off the 66% = around a third of the voters.

O'bama in 2008, ditto. 61% turnout, he got 53% of that a bit under a third. Even less in 2012, 59% turnout with 51% of that for Hussein Obama. Worse than Dubya in 2004 or Trump in 2024.

In 2016 Trump got 46% of a 60% turnout and still won, to Hillary's apoplectic chagrin.
In 2024 he got half of a 64% turnout. Better than slick Willy in 1996 or 1992. Better than Obama in 2012 and about the same as Biden in 2020. Importantly, better than Trump himself in 2016.
