The Appalling Victorian Liberals
Dec 27th, 2024 at 2:42pm

How can this appalling rabble of absolute crap have any hope of defeating Labor in Key seats when they can’t even get their poo in own sock with a leader.    Yet another Leader bites the dust (and rightly so after his revolting comments) and look at the bland, soul less replacement!     Last time the Liberals were in power in Victoria we went through at least three leaders, a drunken Minister crashed his car into a family home nearly killing their young daughter, money changed hands in paper bags at the Lobster Cave, and most of their decisions were terriblle - in fact, I cannot think of one thing they achieved in their short lived time in Government.

If they want to defeat Labor, they had better start at the top and work down - and get rid of the rubbish still on benches in their party

Maybe NLP are better at the top with Dutton, but weaker at the bottom?
ALP has a weak foolish leader in Al'baloney, might be better at Shire level?

ALP has been stabbing their leaders in the back since Keating stabbed Hawke. Maybe Al'baloney is soon to go for Spend a Penny Wong?

Wong is way past her use by date - her crass betrayal of Israel is, as it should be, the final nail in her coffin.  Only the true believers (who've lost so much lustre and honour that they no longer deserve capital letters in that title) or the totally deluded useless tools would support or continue to support Wong.

Frankly - there is not one Labor person on the horizon (remember that 'horizon' of the limited view over the top of the trench from the bottom of it) who would be remotely capable of running the government if elected, or who has not had so much tarnish removed over voices in the head and lawfare stabs in the back over the voice components implementation behind the people's backs using the states as the movers, to run anything much at all or hold any real respect from voters.

I'm not an LNP man - never was - but if they can get their act together they should swarm all over Labor at the next set of elections... but they'll need to truly get cracking to set things right that they have done in the past to those same People..... otherwise the Australian Voter People may move to a government of one extreme or the other to fix what they know is dreadfully wrong.

I have grave concerns the new Victoria liberal leadership will be any better than the last.

Changing chairs on the titanic?

It’s unbelievable really that Victoria has such a poor/ pathetic choice of leadership!

I encourage them not to vote at all.

For all their blustering and heroic posturing over things like Gaza etc while others shed blood and lose families, and The Great Wog Invasion, and their Usurpation of The People's Rights re 'the voice' - they are totally hopeless down there (Kazaly) ...

Would you buy a used voice from this government of two parties in lockstep?

Well it does seem a 'pattern' - that whatever Party rules the Federal level, the opposition rules the majority of States.

Either way, Australians are just ping pong balls between two parties swapping around each Election from ruling the Federal and serving the International community and ruling the State and serving the Domestic community.

It's a constant pattern of the same shyte, but different smell - politics of control.

The trick is knowing which one is the best for Federal (international level) and which one is best for State (domestic level) needs? ...and sticking with it.

Other than that, both Parties are just flipping from both back and forth with no real variation of politics.

Personally. Australia should 'fracture' into many separate INDEPENDENT nations like Cape York, Riverina, Eyre, New England, etc, etc. The cultural stimulus from such variation would be incredible!!!
...what am I saying? Australia WILL one day fall apart like Yugoslavia.  Wink

You're getting it!!  West Malaria - the Aboriginal Homeland and not a state - is also known as Timtamfreeland, or in internet terms a Black Spot.   Shocked

The states are too large and too unwieldy and accrue far too much power and cash handouts to the Capital City areas - it's nearly as bad as Hunger Games... up to the fantasy levels of effete social and planning thinking down there in The Pits.... when The Fed hands out cash- most of it goes to Capital City - known in NSW as 'Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong' - while the rest, and especially the Labor areas like Newcastle, wither on the vine and actually pay more for petrol and stuff despite the huge storage and offloading facility right there, not to mention the massive gas and coal export facilities.

And that ain't just whistling Dixie over New States' Rights.... including Secession.... I'd rather there were no war and that the Union  just let us go in peace.... but if The North marches, I march with her....

Labor has such an appalling debt legacy and lack of crime control at the moment that I think the 2026 election could be a "drover's dog" election event.

The LNP don't need to do much at all, the figurative baseball bats will swung to oust the Labor Party.

I think you're right Nemo.
But will the ALP get the states?
