It shows just how far American politics has fallen when a convicted rapist who essentially tried to overturn an election can get elected to the Presidency. I pity those in America who now have to live with four more years of this delusional whackjob.

Now now, Armchair, we all have our different views and ways of seeing the world. Is this not the beauty of the pluralistic, rich multicultural tapestry we all share?

We live in a democracy with rights and freedoms inherent and absolute. Universal suffrage, direct representation, a rule of law with due process and justice for all.

Superior culture, innit.

Of course we all see the world differently. However, surely most reasonable people can concede that a person who has been convicted of rape is not fit to serve as President of the United States and should never have been permitted to run for that office? It's ridiculous - a person who is not a natural born US citizen cannot run for the office of President, but a convicted felon can. If that's not a joke, I don't know what is.

It's a civil case, Armchair. The felonies were just a minor paperwork error. He didn't mean to do it.

Obama was prez for eight years, and he was probably born in Kenya.

Where's the justice in that?

The justice in Obama is that he was cool, whereas Trump is the precise opposite of that - times several million.

Did you ever say that when Obama was in power, Armchair?

Yep, and also that he was a gentleman and a decent human being with all whom he encountered. Can anyone honestly say that about Trump with a straight face? I think not.

Yes, but what sort of fool would want a decent human being leading the free world?

Who'd create all the disruption, vengeance, sexual abuse and - ahem - deportations?

Come come, Armchair. The Real Americans want a complete and utter cunt.

You?

Al Capone was named "Public Enemy Number One" by the Chicago Crime Commission in 1930. He ran on the Mafia ticket for the Big White House and was on the run for president but was jailed and failed the Oath, even with 400 machine-guns in support.

Did the majority of voters choose the rapist on election day?

No. No they did not.

With a voter turnout around 66% in 2020, the majority of voters did not want Biden  who got a bit over 51% off the 66% = around a third of the voters.

O'bama in 2008, ditto. 61% turnout, he got 53% of that a bit under a third. Even less in 2012, 59% turnout with 51% of that for Hussein Obama. Worse than Dubya in 2004 or Trump in 2024.

In 2016 Trump got 46% of a 60% turnout and still won, to Hillary's apoplectic chagrin.
In 2024 he got half of a 64% turnout.  Better than slick Willy in 1996 or 1992. Better than Obama in 2012 and about the same as Biden in 2020. Importantly, better than Trump himself in 2016.

its hilarious frank that gweg karnal and phil still cant see that people only voted for trump because the alternative  (the people just like gweg karnal and trump) are absolutley despised by the majority of people who voted.

trump merely cashed in on the repulsion for leftie intellectuals.

if there was no gweggy karnal phil bwian and dna , trump would be flat out getting elected as head of the local schools tuckshop.

but he sensed the mood of the electorate and then defined himself as "i am nothing like gweggy karnal brian phil and dna"

and the people said

"yippee, we freaking hate those dickheads and everything about them. lets get out the vote"

and they STILL cant see it

'Republican President-elect Donald Trump has said his election victory handed him an “unprecedented and powerful” mandate to govern.' BBC news.
His campaign man called it a 'landslide'.
49.9% popular vote.
That's a landslide moving uphill.  Yes land does slide upwards, ain't it great?

You coulda said the same about Harris, Biden, Hillary, Hussein O'bama - but you didn't, spineless creep.
Also about Dubya, Slick Willy, Carter, Kennedy and al the rest, in the US and everywhere with non-compulsory voting.

But you are grimacing and gesticulationg only now, despicable creep.  Why? Please explain your creepy spinelessness. Call a friend, if necessary.

'A landslide is defined as the movement of a mass of rock, debris, or earth down a slope. Landslides are a type of "mass wasting," which denotes any down-slope movement of soil and rock under the direct influence of gravity'.
example: 'Don Trump was a mass of debris and went downhill fast in a landslide'.
