but increases in government handouts do one thing.

they make the rich richer because the money is spent, and those with the assets reap ALL of the long term benefits

Little people like white knight dream of having a million or two.
That all know what they would do with it, it is all the same - house, car, holiday, gift to the kids.

But what would they do if they were responsible for $800 million and a workforce of thousands across a dozen businesses?

If your Union Argues for increased Super annuation

Or if your Union argues forMembers to be given shares in the companies they work for

This is going to build real wealth for the worker

If the Union argues that governments should merely print more money
Out Of thin air
And give cash bonuses 4 things like
Electricity bill relief

This Is just going to put more money into the system
And inflate the price of assets
And make me richer
And the poor will see housing Etc more out of reach

Be smart in what you ask for white night

Here’s a couple of interesting statements hubby has been making in past couple years….
1. There’s no way wound could’ve done now, what we did back then (20-40 years ago)
2. It seems nowadays we need to hang on to what we’ve got …(broke government = rising costs in many ways, extra all types taxes lopped onto us, blah blah blah Angry

)

He feels that… as us boomers age with our assets, the government want what we have!

Already people are selling their investment properties… the rising costs meaning rising rents are making it unpleasant for all. But government get bonus CGT and stamp duty on sales of houses!
So a dump of houses being sold means less rentals available … and that means many will have to learn to do what the Italians did… multi generations in one place.

In past, what we noticed in the rental game… many couples that had started a family (whereas one parent stops work to care for new born) meaning one wage isn’t going to suffice.
They give notice they will leave to go live with their parents to try and save money hopefully for a deposit for their own home one day.

And my conclusion lately… re: our State (Vic) govt. leading us into billions more debts…

All the money coming their way will never improve their bad management … it hasn’t up to now…
They don’t know how to spend wisely, or budget correctly.
They are bad business … very bad.
Pilfering so much … so many new bs taxes. Even doubling FB levy in our insurances!
And pot holes in our roads are still horrendous!

Real estate prices are interesting

The hundreds of billions of dollars pumped into the economy
For the covid response
For the N DIS
For all sorts of cash splashes

As an example I can now travel on public transport for 50 cents
My latest electricity bill was $0 thanks to a ludicrous political bribe
From the Queen's land labour party

All of this money is just made up
The government just print This money
And it passes through the hands of the poor
Before finding a home in the only places it can find a home

Real estate and shares

I honestly don't need my real estate values to go up
At some stage my 5 grandchildren we'll need to buy a house
And making people like me richer by dumping cash in the economy
Is ridiculous

And no taxes have not Increased

Governments continually cut taxation to buy votes

A gain this helps the poor very little
But gives me even more money I cannot spend

It is time to reduce government spending
Which should be called by a different name

It should be called government bonuses to the rich
Because they are the only people who benefit from Big government spending

Reply #29 - Jan 2^nd, 2025 at 9:52am Our youth won’t be able to invest in real estate… it’s even eye watering prices for my liking! But they are moving into stock market and coin investment. Diversifying at best. It gives them hope and an interest with investing.
