Everything against Australia Day over the decades has come from the undermining Media for the American Media narrative.
It's really the Pro American Media narrative people here that seek to ruin the British gift of 'true' Politics here.

Jan 26 was a big day for migrants. Also for convicts and politicians.  George stole the land but was NOT a convict.

Before the Woke Dictatorship.
I remember Australia Day picnics and BBQs at various public parks where all sorts of different people were sharing and enjoying the day together.
Since then, Lefty ALP Wokeism has brought an end to such harmonious relations.

So what?  26th January is still the accepted day...

Councils that do not abide by it should be de-funded , sacked and placed in administration.  They have no right to make the kinds of divisive decisions they are so intent on these days...

At our last council election, I stated publicly that there is no place for party politics in local government of the roads, drains and such.

One positive effect of Albo's 'voice' debacle.... the people are indeed paying attention to Aboriginal problems - and demanding that they lift themselves for a change.

If you look at the question rationally and historically, 26 January is really only significant to NSW.  It is their day of establishment.  Until 1988 Australia Day was celebrated on different days in the various states/colonies.  A far more rational day is 1 January when Australia as a nation was proclaimed on Federation. Australia Day was celebrated on 26 January  nationwide for the first time in 1988, so why should we continue to celebrate it today?  It was a political decision to celebrate it on 26 January so why not change it? Tsk, tsk, tsk...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

A re-badged and divided up into states territory is still the territory - not the New State name... no reason to change it.  Simple.

Love it or leave it - you are always free to go into self-exile... wait for the media carrying on about 'white supremacist yobs' waving the flag on Australia Day...  if you don;t want to be part of Australia - on yer boat....
