That's the first post in your own words I've seen in years, dear.

Good show.

Now, do you want to give Brian's question a stab?

Apart from the tsks, the relevant word is NATO.

Don't worry - NATO will bend over for Trump
or he'll cut off 100s of $billions in aid and assistance.
It's transactional.

That's a threat to cut aid, Bobby, not an invasion.

But I'm curious. What aid would your DL cut?

The US doesn't provide aid and development assistance to NATO countries. Aid to Europe is focused primarily on Ukraine and countries dealing with Russian interference, such as Albania, Georgia, Moldova, North Macedonia and oh - Greenland.

https://www.usaid.gov/news-information/congressional-testimony/may-23-2023-fy-20...

Any attack on a NATO country requires members to intervene. One in, all in.

Do you want to give Brian's question another stab?

The USA supplies military aid to NATO to stop the aggressive  Putin
and it costs 10s of billions per annum -
already 100s of $billions to help Ukraine which indirectly helps NATO.

You see Trump knows that he's got a hand with 4 Aces in it and
NATO has only 2 pair.

NATO doesn't have one pair, if they did they would have put Russia in its place two weeks into the war.

Yeah - they've all got the French disease - running like rabbits.

They allowed Europe to be invaded by Africans and Muslims.

They laughed right through his first p1ss poor pretence and likely will just keep going through his illegitimate term as the convict President.

Bold new push for Donald Trump to seize control of Australia: 'Make Australia Great Again'

Aussie fanbase praises Trump's landgrab plans

Published: 12:37 AEDT, 9 January 2025 | Updated: 13:43 AEDT, 9 January 2025

Donald Trump's fanbase is calling for him to annex Australia as the incoming US president makes wild claims about a planned landgrab.

'I don't wanna give Trump any more ideas, but these guys don't have guns anymore,' said conservative journalist Chadwick Moore in a post to social media on Wednesday, alongside a map of Australia.

It comes after Trump suggested he might use 'economic force' to make Canada the 51st US state, and announced a plan to rename the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America.

He also refused to rule out using military force or economic coercion to gain control of Greenland and the Panama Canal.

Mr Moore's post on Wednesday received thousands of tongue-in-cheek but supportive comments.

'Make Australia Great Again. Works for me!' said one.

'Are you saying you'd take it by force? No need, we'd sign up,' said another.

'As an Aussie, please take us, we need all the help we can get,' said a third.

You seem to think engaging in a war of annihilation would be a good idea, hey, Bobby and yet you claim to be an expert in defence?  Such a silly sausage.   You seem to have forgotten that Putin has a vast nuclear arsenal at his disposal.  What do you think he'd do with it if NATO crossed the border into Russia?  Whistle dixie?  Run along and troll somewhere else.  Tsk, tsk, tsk...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The danger is if Putin says - no -
Russia will not allow you to invade Greenland and sends
Russian troops there to confront the Americans.

That would mean a direct war between Russia and the USA.

Putler hardly has a navy and can’t spare troops from Ukraine. That, after all, is the reason Assad fell in Syria.

No it only provides funds to NATO. Which is then dispersed.

"Last year, the U.S. contributed 68 percent, which worked out to be 3.49 percent of America's total GDP for $860 billion of the $1.26 trillion NATO spent. "

https://www.newsweek.com/how-much-has-nato-cost-us-over-past-75-years-1886632

So the money given was not aid? Was it then a hindrance? Wink

No, Lee, but I'm curious. How are those funds "given" to NATO?

Countries' defence budgets are spent on themselves. NATO's running costs, it's common or direct budget, is EUR 4.6 billion (2024).

Of course the US spends more on defence - it chooses to fund the biggest military in the world. The contribution to NATO's running budget, however, is in the above link below.

https://www.nato.int/cps/ro/natohq/topics_67655.htm

You'll note that Germany now pays exactly the same contribution as the US (15.8813%), with France (10.1940%) and the UK (10.9626%) close behind.

Your article listed the 2023 budget for total defence spending. The above figures are for 2024. NATO notes Germany and Poland's increases in spending, a legacy bestowed by Vlad, but committed to a number of years ago.

So no, dear. Providing aid and funding your own military defence are two totally different things.

Karnal -  you don't know -

the Yanks even provided and still provide nuclear weapons for Germany
and other countries to dissuade Russia from using them.

No, the American Tax Payer is paying for NATO and Europe needs to pay us back. NATO will be forced to pay its fair share for the next four years and after that it will be sucking on the tit of America again.
