Biden may yet run for president and his opponent had only 49.9% in a recent popularity score card.  Musk's presidency had a   difficult start and may deteriorate.

So WHO IS responsible if

Not the Governor
Not the mayor
Not the fire department
Not the lack of water (diverted to save little fishy mcfishface)
Not the empty reservoirs, the dry hydrants
Not the weather forcasters Not anyone in LA or California.

Oh, I know, I know! TRUMP, of course.
But he is not in any office yet.

Oh, details, details.  He is responsible. Must be. Somehow.

Told youse, leftards:

Democrat Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey has claimed that the Los Angeles fires are the result of a climate change “disaster” stoked by President-elect Donald Trump’s embrace of “Big Oil” — and there is “more death” coming as a result.

“Trump has been bought for $1 billion by Big Oil. Just a payoff to kill the IRA and the Green New Deal. We know what will happen. More fires, more climate disasters, more death. The LA fires are preview of coming atrocities,” Markey wrote on X on Saturday:

He's not even sworn in but Trump is already burning down LA.

Hey, old boy, which official has refused to travel to California to hold a hose, worried that it might mess up their hair and make-up?

Guess who?

I remember a time when disasters united us as a people, as a community.  Whatever tragic reason impelled us, we were brought together through times such as these.

And look at Gordy's thread. Did i see Frank ask how wind starts fires? And Lee ... jesus.

It's really just sad that in the face of all of this absolute horror, you lot are obsessing about how "woke" the establishment is. That is seriously you're foremost thought. Falling over yourselves to pillory somebody with that your foremost thought. Us and themism, in a time we are in tuth united in eery way that actually matters.

It's not my foremost thought. I'm thinking about the loss. Compassion. Empathy. Sympathy. Community.

The time for recrimination is not now. Shame on you who make that their got to. What on earth do you think you're achieving? What actually is your point? Whaat is it that you are trying to achieve?

When lefty progressives prove to be incompetent and neglectful to a dev a stating degree, it is time for ecumenical setting aside of political differences.  Blame climate change, blame anything, just not the Lefty progressives in charge.

On the other hand, if the Governor were a Republican and the mayor and fire to chief were Trumpites, blame exclusively the powers in charge. Those in power must then be held to account.

Its a bush fire in the middle of the winter.  Surely, you cant say that its all very normal.

Not unusual
Tom Jones

Within your link, it seemed all of the major fires listed are between July and December.   We are in mid Jan.

But it is not unprecedented.

"Southern California is experiencing its most devastating winter fires in more than four decades"

https://apnews.com/article/fire-devastation-climate-change-santa-ana-winds-a46e2...

Then there is the changing vegetation.

"An invasive grass species has sparked the interest of researchers studying the ecology of wildfires in the western United States. Cheatgrass, a long-stemmed plant native to Europe and southwestern Asia that was introduced by settlers in the 1800s, is now common in Nevada, Utah, Colorado, California, and Oregon. By comparing satellite images of cheatgrass to fire activity in the same area, scientists have now shown that the grass is involved in a disproportionate number of fires in these regions, and those fires were among the largest. Although cheatgrass makes up only 6% of the area's vegetation, it has been involved in 39 of the 50 largest fires in the last decade, and has burned twice as much as any other plant species, the team reports this week in Global Change Biology. "

It is a 2012 article. But the cheat grass is still there. Wink

What other grasses are involved in big fires?

Division Exclusion and Intolerance ......

Cheatgrass - "native to Europe and southwestern Asia ....... Nevada, Utah, Colorado, California, and Oregon." ... Oh-kaaaaaay!  Must have been brought by those pesky Europeans, eh?  Across the Wide Atlantic, across the Wide Missouri, across the Great Plains, across The Rockies......... man - that took some planning.... sounds like it snuck in on some boats from the west..... **coughs**

From mountains high to valleys low
They speak the name of Jaimie-O
Who with his pa went searching for
That gold in Old California

By riverboat and wagon train
They brought cheatgrass across the plains
Doc told his son
Keep moving on
There's gold in Old California
Go westward ho

40 years. Worst fire. AGW and rising temps. Oh yes, that's it.
And the cheat grass is not growing on Malibu. Too windy.

Yes. It has clearly happened before. JM and other "knowledgeable" AGW alarmists say AGW has been with us since 1850. Nothing there about the worst winter fire since 1850. Also correlation is not causation. So we know for certain you don't do science. Wink

Come come, Chimera, it's not just about the wind and grass, dear. There are a range of intersectional factors at play here.

As Lee points out, there's the tranny firepersons - refusing to hold a hose in case they break a nail.

There's the city's waterways and reservoirs - failed by the Fire Department, who forgot to make it rain.

There's the Fire Department's budget - secretly increased it by $53 mil, but somehow cut (so unfair).

And there's the unions - actually, Lee won't say what they've done, but it can't be good.

But whatever you do, don't mention AGW and rising temperatures. Lee has a theory on that too.

Temperature is subjective. Some say it's hot, some say cold, who can tell?

As you can see, it's complicated. Blaming wind and grass is a gross over-simplification.

I blame the leftards.

You?
