I suppose we’re meant to overlook the fact that, on multiple occasions, Trump not only threatened to withhold federal funding from California for wildfire prevention and response but also repeatedly delayed much-needed federal relief after the state had been devastated, actions many attributed to the simple reality that California didn’t support him at the ballot box.

He makes a lot of empty threats... He's a cowardly paper tiger.

Shows the importance of planning a garden and buildings to be fire resistant.

Eucalypts and pines around a house and nothing can save it in a wild/bush fire. Mulch such as straw is going to burn and may be flung against buildings by wind—use gravel mulch etc, don’t have beds running all the way to the house, just guiding the fire to it, etc.

Have a deck? Fill in the sides with brick so if an ember lands on the ground under your deck it doesn’t have convection to boost any fire. Etc. There are books on the subject.
