Biden arranged funding for the victims.

You could have made an NotTheEnvironment thread about this—why were the fires so more severe than in the past, what ENVIRONMENTAL factors caused that? But that requires some brains I suppose.

Who knows? Temperature stations at airports are not fit for climate purposes. Only for air traffic control. Wink

So you can tell the global average temperature anomaly difference of about 1.5C? Well done that man. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Sorry, I'm confused. Are you saying the thermometers are out or the average temperature has risen by 1.5 degrees?

Either/or, dear. Every other claim you've made in this thread has been debunked, so I can see why you'd hedge on this one.

I am saying you can't differentiate between temperatures that small. But I guess you have hot flushes and that's what makes you feel hot.

Not one has been debunked.

Lack of water does not light fires.
Temperature does not light fires.
Wind does not light fires.

Another one who doesn't hold a fire hose.

Hard to say, dear. That's a claim by the RNC. They're including his foreign trips as head of state and - oh: weekends.

In fact, the Republicans are timing him every time he leaves the White House. Sleepy Joe heads out for a bite to eat with Dr Jill, and they put the stopwatch on.

It makes you wonder which prez they're covering for, no?

Of course, you'd know the answer to that yourself, dear, being no Trump-man and so into the data.

You'd hope the RNC aren't getting their stopwatches from the same place the weathermen get their thermometers from, eh?

Los Angeles Times owner Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong hit American voters with an "I told you so" about their elected leaders' response to the L.A. area wildfires.

"The president’s time out of the office increased after he dropped out of the presidential race, spending a total of 46 full or partial days in Delaware, Camp David, St. Croix, Nantucket and California from August to the end of the year.

The Caller’s count includes the president’s current trip to St. Croix, which the White House has not released the end date of. In 2023, the president stayed until the second of the next year."

It's not small, Lee. On some days and in some places, the temperature rose 5 or 6 degrees above average. On some days it was hotter than any temperature on record. On some days it was so hot people died. Then on other days things cooled down and it was all good.

I imagine you've been told that dozens of times. Still, it took you a while to understand that the LA fires weren't spread by budget cuts or black deputy mayors or tranny firepersons or the fire chief's gender or her difficulty pumping water that didn't exist, but just good old wind and heat.

I thought a volunteer fire fighter would have understood that to begin with, so it just goes to show.

We all have different levels of understanding, no?

And in and in it goes. Here's his schedule for this week, Lee.

https://rollcall.com/factbase/biden/topic/calendar/

You'll note a good 30% of his time on vacation, checking out the sights in LA and Santa Monica.

Typical.

Better not get too curious, Lee. DL starts back soon.

We'll forget our discussion on presidential vacation time, shall we?

California Gov. Newsom backs dam removal projects aimed at sustaining salmon populations
sanfrancisco
January 30, 2024 / 7:08 AM PST / AP

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is pledging to fast-track more than half a dozen projects by the end of his term to remove or bypass dams that have blocked salmon from returning to the state's chilly mountain streams and acting as the keystone of a complex ecosystem that sustains both economies and spiritual beliefs for tribes.
