And so is the incompetence & corruption of public servants in charge of water infrastructure maintenance, and water supply ....
The
public servants aren't to blame, the government failing to fund the
necessary resources to allow the public sevants to properly do their allocated job is to blame. Trump and Musk, via the DOGE, want to eviscerate them even more.
See #37.
Quote: as well as the over riding issues of priority given to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Again, crap issues forced onto 'fair-minded'** liberal politicians because mainstream economists make them believe the government has to balance its budget like a household. Classic ignorance.
No need for DEI if work for all is mandated, with
the public sector being employer of last resort. (There is always useeful work which needs to be done, in which the private sector can't make a profit).
** survival of the fittest conservative pollies don't do "fair-mindedness", so its a non-issue for them.
The Mayor of Los Angeles is in charge of funding allocations to "her" public servants i.e. the Los Angeles Fire Dept. Just like she does with the Police Force.
It's a tad different over there than here.
The Mayor is a duly elected public servant.
After the affect(the fires) the LAFD Chief pointed the finger at the mayor for slashing her budget by $17.6 million.
Prior to that the Fire Chief was under the microscope for her prioritizing DEI instead of making sure she got what she needed for her dept to do their jobs.
That includes making sure they had adequate water supplies for situations like the fires.
Then you still avoid the question as to why a billionaire couple now have control over 80% or more of the states & LAs water supplies? ..... sells what was the states back to them .... including "paper water" that doesn't exist & is never supplied.
