Things are already getting better and you can see people are realizing that Trump is going to bring back common sense. Hamas, Iran and Russia have run amok while Joe was down the beach, what was it 540 days of holidays in the last 3.5 years.

Pedos, indeed.

"The woman who was at the center of a yearslong Justice Department investigation into sex trafficking allegations surrounding Rep. Matt Gaetz testified to the House Ethics Committee that the now-former Florida congressman had sex with her when she was 17 years old, sources familiar with the investigation told ABC News.

"President-elect Donald Trump announced Wednesday that Gaetz had been tapped to serve as attorney general, overseeing the very branch of government that previously conducted its own investigation of him, which ended last year without charges being brought."

It has, the buyer's remorse that is, especially for small business owners who are now, albeit too late, finally understanding how tariffs work and realising the products they import are about to cost them more.

If Trump implements things he said he would, people will realise that the results don't match what they were sold during the campaign.  The mid-terms will be a bloodbath.

Or Trump will prove that what he said he would do is a lie, and he will be more moderate, meaning all the wet dreams of the lunatic fringe will remain as just that, a dream.

Just like his first term.

Either way, as long as they keep their damage within their borders and their economic crashes due to the tariffs and rampant inflation and economic mismanagement don't go global, the next 4 years and the tears from Trump's supporters when he betrays them, again, will be glorious.

The popcorn is ready.

Importers don't really do much for the economy do they, all they do is take money out of the community and send it overseas after taking their cut. This will help producers who make products and keep their business dollars in America.

Tariffs can be effective when they are carefully targeted and accompanied by comprehensive measures to rebuild and support local industries. This includes strategic subsidies, investment in infrastructure, and workforce development to ensure domestic producers can meet the demand of local consumers. Without these preparations, blanket tariffs risk harming the economy by driving up costs for consumers and import-dependent businesses, rather than fostering sustainable growth in local industries

But that's not what Trump has proposed.

If only you were in the US and could experience the outcomes of the things you support, yet clearly don't understand.  It's an injustice that you won't.

It matters nothing what Trump does or does not do you are going to find fault. Trump might not have the knowledge and experience with tariffs that you have but at least he gets things done. You on the other hand with all your experience and know how on tariffs have done nothing with it except run down Trump. Why would someone like yourself who has all the answers not do something positive like run for government instead of taking sniper shots at those that actually do something. Why are you wasting all of your abilities and not out doing something for your community.

That's the thing, though - he doesn't.

He never gets things done.

Where's his health care plan?  Another two weeks?

That’s simply false. I’ve made my stance clear from the outset, if he somehow manages to pull this off, not only will I be taken aback and offer due credit, but I’ll also be questioning the very orthodoxy I adhere to, as well as reassessing my own views.

However, any supposed success of Trump in this regard must be grounded in reality. It cannot be yet another of his unfounded boasts about the “wall being complete” when, in truth, only roughly 47 miles of new wall actually constructed. This has nothing to do with the grandiose claims of accomplishment he likes to peddle.

If his success is real, it can't be argued with.  But since he lies about all his accomplishments, it needs to be verified first.

Trump might not have the knowledge and experience with tariffs that you have but at least he gets things done.

The reality is, doing the wrong thing is far worse than doing nothing at all.

It seems you’re more focused on crafting a narrative where Trump’s every move is viewed through the lens of success.  It is starting to paint your accusation that I would do the opposite nothing but a form of projection.

I have no interest in stepping into the political arena, having witnessed firsthand the lengths one must go to merely to be elected, even at the most local levels like council.

Instead, I’ve found a more principled way to contribute to society without compromising my values through volunteer work. My time spent with organisations like Meals on Wheels, Rosies, and the numerous trips I took as part of the mud army to assist with flood clean-up in Brisbane have been far more meaningful and rewarding.

At least prior to COVID anyway.
