Women in combat
Jan 16th, 2025 at 9:09am

Hegseth has been questioned by the dems on his comments that women do not belong in combat.

I personally do not want to see women in combat and can't see any logical reason to want women in combat. I know some countries do and thats their choice but I don't like it.

These days most of it is by drone and rocket trucks. The Big One is the nuke launch button. It's like the old days of women on telephone switchboards.  But they aren't so good when receiving incoming explosions.

Because I have been brought up to believe women are to be protected by men. If I were to see a man or anybody attack or use violence against any women I would feel its my responsibility to do what I can to protect the safety of that woman. I do not believe the same is to be applied to a woman to protect any man, their own family yes but not in general.

What if both sides have women in combat?

Let's say, a platoon of twenty female troops from country A attacks a platoon of twenty female troops from country B - what then?

I have no desire to see women in combat, over the years there have been women in combat and it seems that there is a push to see more. I'm against it and would never want to see it.

You don't mind seeing men kill each other though?

Woman in combat could cause unintended concequences....Some men will take risks to protect woman and others will take advantage of woman who could be subjected to harrasment....Woman in combat roles is not a good idea IMO!!!

Huh Huh Huh

Women are not construed to suit an infantry role.
Most mens shoulders are wider than their hips, so when wriggling through narrow spaces they don’t get stuck’
Most men are flat chested so when they need to hug the ground they can present a smaller target or be just in cover.
Men do not suffer from PMT [which can be a legal defence] so are not possibly unfit for duty once a month.
Men when taken prisoner are not likely to be raped, given that many potential enemies have little respect for women and even less for women in men’s roles then rape is not only likely but to be expected.

Edit. Agree with Phil 100%

For a little while I thought that this would be a serious discussion.

Exactly the Trump administration do not want women in combat, the dems are arguing that they want to see women in combat.
