Women are not construed to suit an infantry role.
Most mens shoulders are wider than their hips, so when wriggling through narrow spaces they don’t get stuck’
Most men are flat chested so when they need to hug the ground they can present a smaller target or be just in cover.
Men do not suffer from PMT [which can be a legal defence] so are not possibly unfit for duty once a month.
Men when taken prisoner are not likely to be raped, given that many potential enemies have little respect for women and even less for women in men’s roles then rape is not only likely but to be expected.

Much like the Trump administration?

For a little while I thought that this would be a serious discussion.

I try to have serious and or good discussions but as you know two posters will come onto each and every thread and do what they do.

The moderators on here are piss weak.

The female shape is more aerodynamic for velocity through space. Male shoulders mean the trench is blocked. Also beer bellies get shot at.

There has been a long trend to allow women to serve in Combat.    It is all a matter of training.  NATO has long been facing a manpower problem and before the end of the Cold War was seriously looking at having women serve in Arms units.  Nowadays, the feminists cries have largely been answered and they serve in most first world militaries in combat roles.  Australia is the same. I served with women in uniform.  Some were WOFTAMs but many were good value, worked as hard as the men and carried a rifle/GPMG just as well and shot it accurately.  Men who bewail this are misogynist old men.  They should be ignored.  Tsk tsk, tsk...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

There is two sides to what you are saying and just so we don't mix them up can you clarify.

Some men don't support women fighting in combat.

Some men don't think women are capable of fighting in combat.

Some men believe that women are capable of fighting in combat but don't want to see women fighting in combat.

Which ones should be ignored?.

My solution would be locking up Trump so that he can't rape any more people.

Known to her enemies as “Lady Death,” Lyudmila Pavlichenko is recognized as the most successful female sniper in history with a total of 309 confirmed kills.

I agree. I have served with women and for the most part they were first class sailors. I only had to deal with one who was an ongoing disciplinary problem, unlike some of the men. I do think some of the more physical tasks need looking at, however this can be dealt with.    As Brian notes, manpower is an ever more pressing issue and we cannot afford to ignore 50% of the potential recruitment pool by allowing prejudice against women to get in the way.
