Viet Cong and Vikings immediately come to mind with women in combat.
They seem a proven success.

QUANTICO, Virginia --

A female Marine officer made history today at Quantico, Va. by completing the Infantry Officer Course and earning the infantry officer military occupational specialty.  (25 Sep 2017)

The lieutenant, who asked to keep her identity private, is the first female officer to successfully complete the course since the Marine Corps opened all military occupational specialties to women.

“Marines expect and rightfully deserve competent and capable leaders, and these IOC graduates met every training requirement as they prepare for the next challenge of leading infantry Marines; ultimately, in combat,” said Neller.

Oh dear.  September 2017?

I guess Leroy will have to change his mind now.

No my mind is at ease, I will never want to see women in combat. Its more than an opinion to me, its instinct. If ever there is a threat around me I would always expect the men to face the threat before a woman.

Private Jenny Bogan 'That's got them pinned down, sarge'
Leroy 'Excuse me ladies, it's not that I'm fussy but you ought to be male. Can you get some here instead? I don't want you shooting'.

If there was a threat I would first make sure women and children are safe and then try to neutralize the threat.

I'm not embarrassed about that, I have been brought up that way and will be like that until I die.

If the new generation of man prefer to have the women face the threat then I don't have a problem with that.

Brian,
What would be your solution to the rape factor and PMT?

PMT makes most women more vicious.  The rape factor is a nonsense it is also a war crime.  Tsk, tsk, tsk... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Premenstrual syndrome as a criminal defense
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2260910/

Abstract

Premenstrual syndrome may be effective as an affirmative defense to a criminal charge if the defendant can show that (i) she was suffering from premenstrual syndrome at the time the crime was committed; and (ii) because of her condition, either that the criminal act was an involuntary act or that at the time of the criminal act she did not possess the mental state required by law for the commission of a crime. Premenstrual syndrome has been successfully pleaded as a criminal defense in Great Britain but has not been tested in American criminal courts. It may now be possible, however, because of the increase of behavioral, psychological, and physiological studies precisely characterizing premenstrual syndrome and elucidating the necessary criteria for its accurate diagnosis, for the appropriate defendant to assert this defense in an American court. This paper discusses (i) the use of recent scientific data to demonstrate the existence of premenstrual syndrome; (ii) the use of standardized psychological tests or physiological assays to demonstrate that the defendant suffers from premenstrual syndrome; and, (iii) the legal choices to be made and evidentiary hurdles that must be overcome in presenting a premenstrual syndrome defense‘

The rape factor is pertinent as not all potential enemies care two hoots about war crimes.

You still seem to be suffering ‘’Long bayonet’’ syndrome.

You do  have a problem with that. It's what you're explaining.

(A squad of PMT women would give the horrors to adversaries.)

If you want to see women in combat then thats your desire, its not mine. I don't want to see women in combat.

Can't be any more clearer than that.

Completing a course and going into ACTUAL combat are two different things.

Any linky to American, Australian, British, French, Canadian lady soldiers shooting at the enemy on the ground and being shot at in return - ie  IN COMBAT.

After talking this over with my wife, we've decided that Leroy is in fact entitled to his opinion, on this occasion. Go ahead Leroy.

(Israel is different, that is why I deliberately did not mention it)
