The thing ticking over in my mind is that Elon probably, in a little pre-specatulor circle jerk with his fellows, postulated ...

we study success(those who are climbing) and we try to emulate them

we study failure

His 292-word speech included 129 words - a paragraph - of presidential vision-setting (more like a JFK speech), 9 I/I'ms and 8 thank yous...

That Trump would have allowed Musk to make a triumphal presidential speech, even elevating himself above the president, speaks to the deal he has with Trump... And it must be a doozy.

Would the Trump of 2016 have allowed it?

And, even more ominous, were the chants from the audience:
