Imagine calling the police because someone is breaking into your home or being confronted by a dangerous person and being told sorry, the police are too busy — you’re on your own.

This is happening in Victoria, almost daily.

Earlier this month, a police member had to return the call of a Melburnian who had dialed triple-zero, while watching a gang break into his home on security cameras.
The police officer reluctantly explained “we will get there when we can”.

They say the honest and realistic message the public needs to know is to “learn self-defence”, because if you need help, they may be a while.

It doesn't matter how many self defence classes a Granny who needs a hip replacement does it isn't going to help with armed home invasions.

It's nothing to do with the law really. It's more about whether a jury will find you guilty of the more serious offence.

What is appalling is how the politicians and the like who carry on about disarming the populace in case they might play up or something, are themselves a protected species and live nowhere near where this kind of thing happens on a near daily basis - and probably on a daily basis that is simply not recorded ....

Don't they think it's time for laws to hand back the right to a home owner/occupier to self-defend with whatever means are necessary? And to be able to access those means freely without being imposed upon by a stupid government etc with an agenda of their own?

Things have changed a bit here, but still don't trust them completely - the times when cops would just go out and fit up anyone they met - and without any civilised constraint - for the sake of making sure that the general public joe's ability to oppose wrong etc in government was rendered meaningless and make of everyone a 'criminal' out there - cops and robbers derived from the old convict colony days - are still within memory. That's why they used to call the cops in NSW Nazis...

It's ALWAYS been the way here to impose upon the general populace, the peasantry, to ensure they did not get out of control - and Howard's 'gun laws' were just an extension of the same old rot of the ruling elite wanting the peasants to hold no power or rights, with countless people guilty of nothing fitted up in one of many ways so as to ensure they could not legitimately access firearms.

It wasn't that long ago..... it can still happen .... it still does in some places.... and you are seeing the results now.... crime rampant and nobody to stop it.

Let us make it simple - it is the policies of the parties - without reference to the people - in the areas such as mass immigration, the kinds we expect to be immigrated here, failure to require integration due to a false view of 'multi-culturalism', ethnic affairs and such, that have lead to this current situation.

All 'cultures' are NOT equal... and expecting that those we import will integrate at least to the level of civilised behaviour is not too much of an ask. We give you shelter - don't set fire to the building....

Time for deportation and exile to become normal response to vile behaviour.

The Italians came here en masse - I can't say I blame them..... they brought different foods and such and some of it great.... with a few exceptions they integrated until they are part of the furniture now. I personally think that some 'Wog' women have more class and standards than many of our homegrowns.

After looking into this headline by the Seven Network News - it has been traced back to ONE police vehicle - and one driver - written in what appears to be lipstick, on the rear-winow of ONE police sedan

I'M not one for panicking over sensationalist, tabloid journalism - so I shan't be buying self-defence lessons, in this current "cost of living crisis" the tabloids tell us about, on the following page.

This "go slow" campaign is all about a wage increase claim, that I support FULLY - as I did with the nurses and ambulance drivers' action over THEIR recent pay claim

I don't see what the problem is, when every person in the country is putting their hand up to PAY MORE TAX, to cover it all.

A friend of mine broke someones nose with a Palm Heel strike.

He was charged with assault found not guilty.

Told the court he only pushed the guy away witness confirmed he didn't use his fist.

One good thing with bashing hardened criminals is they're unlikely to report it to police.

A friend beat the crap out of someone who broke into his house.
Criminal reported it to police friend told police nobody broke in nothing has been touched and asked Police if he had the right house.
They left he wasn't charged.
