[being cynical.....]
If Chinese scientists really have achieved this breakthrough,
then the method and technology which enabled it, will be a state [CCP] secret.

I find it difficult to believe that the Chinese [CCP] will want to reveal anything useful,
about this cutting edge science, to anyone 'outside of their influence'.

But then again, 'deep' secrets once known [once revealed],
have a habit of becoming 'common currency'.

e.g.
It didn't very take long for American nuclear technology secrets to become 'exploited' by the USSR.
[....after communist sympathizers in the USA, betrayed those American secrets, to the USSR.]

Once someone invents something scientific other people can pick up those pebbles—some scientist. Once the secret of nuclear fission was out other scientists could work it out too.
