A Kalgoorlie man will not be charged over a fatal confrontation during a home invasion that resulted in the death off 20-year-old Tyrone Smith last year.
Police allege Mr Smith was armed with a machete when he broke into the man's home in December, sparking an altercation that left him with fatal injuries.
What's next?
Commissioner Col Blanch says there is no realistic prospect of conviction, but Mr Smith's family believes the investigation wasn't thorough enough.’’

Do you suffer from anger management issues?

Why not just leave your door unlocked and wait for an invader with some trusty homemade gear that will hurt.
You can then bludgeon the invader senseless and enjoy that relief of all that pent up anger.

In New Zealand, they practice the art of baiting.
Car stolen from you driveway?
Put a Merc there with windows down and wait behind the hedge with mates and crowbars.
Very effective.

Yes, they will feel the impact of being alive, the wife and little daughter will undoubtedly feel the impact of having a brave husband and father.
The father will feel the impact of saving his families lives.

Note the mealy mouthed comment by the Police Commissioner that no charges have been laid because of insufficient evidence. What he should have said was that no charges were laid because the home owner was justified in defending himself and his family against a n armed criminal attack.

The family of the armed criminal home invader and attempted murderer are protesting that they want justice for their kinsman, compensation claims are, no doubt, in the offing.

Consider the following, I know the bloke concerned well and he’s never iost any sleep and has no regrets.

‘’ The killings have shocked the Papua New Guinea capital, although many expatriates and senior govenment officials said their sympathies lay with the man who was having dinner with his pregnant wife.
"This is the first time a large group of armed attackers were given a dose of their own medicine," a spokesman for the Prime Minister, Sir Julius Chan, said.
"The law-abiding citizens, if they have the means, can retaliate with or without the help of law enforcement officers, " he said.
Police said the armed gang burst into the popular Cathay Club at about 10pm on Friday, shooting dead a security guard.
They ordered all the diners to lie on the floor and began emptying their pockets. The gang saw a buige in the trouser pocket of the expatriate businessman and, believing it to be a wallet, ordered him to hand it over.
The man then pulled out a loaded pistol, for which he had a licence, and immediately shot several of the gang.
Two were killed instantly. The bodies of another to were found later outside the club. Another two suspects, who were also wounded, were in the Port Moresby General Hospital under police guard.
Police said that after the shooting, the diners attacked the wounded rastols with chairs.
"Some of the local patrons did take their frustration and anger out on those who were lying on the ground," the police spokesman said.
