Well Done, Mr. Biden
Jan 23rd, 2025 at 7:11pm

Stellantis' Belvidere Assembly Plant, was indefinitely idled at the end of February 2023. More than 1,000 people were put out of work.

In late October of the same year (2023), the announcement came that the Belvidere plant would reopen after the United Auto Workers and Stellantis came to an agreement. The agreement called for the plant to reopen in 2027.

The Biden administration later promised $330 million to the plant to make electric vehicles.

On Tuesday, the UAW announced that it had resolved its grievances with Stellantis concerning the reopening, and that it was pleased that Stellantis plans to reopen the Belvidere plant in 2027 as promised.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (Democrat) also commended Stellantis and the UAW.

"My administration has worked tirelessly with our partners to secure this investment and we are excited to see it come to fruition," Pritzker said in part. "We know there is more work to be done to see this project through and remain committed to expanding economic opportunities for Illinois workers, businesses, and communities to thrive."

We do need a post to draw a line in the sand, the state of play the moment Trump took over.

Something to look back and compare to in the time of post-truth.

Have grocery or gas prices gone down?  We have a point to check against to see if that's true, to just more lies from MAGA.

Yeah why not, you are going to complain about something anyway, might as well be this. Go on have your cry.

Just so, Greggery. The fruits of Sleepy Joe's Jobs/Infrastructure and Chips Acts are now being reaped - just in time for DL to come in and take credit.

Inflation is back down to under 3%, the economy is booming, employment is rising and new manufacturing jobs are being advertised all through the red states of the Sunbelt and Mid West.

Just think, most of those GOP congresspeople voted against those bills. Now, as the manufacturing plants open up, they're at the ribbon-cutting ceremonies, posing for the fake news.

During his inauguration speech, DL blamed Joe for the worst economy in history - devastation, carnage, ruin, all thanks to Sleepy Joe and the Dems. He's just put the FBI on notice - he now wants Sleepy Joe charged.

In 2021, DL tried an insurrection, incited a riot in the federal Capitol that killed 5, skipped the inauguration and flew home with 12,000 stolen classified documents stashed in the cargo.

In 2025, Sleepy Joe met DL, shook his hand, showed him around the White House and handed over the best economy since the late 1990s.

The contrast could not be clearer. Good politicians get things done, fix things up and hand them over with a smile.

Bad politicians spread hate, wreck the joint and take credit. The hypocrisy, lies and sheer bad faith are unprecedented. Vlad must be licking his lips in delight.

Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?

Trump's 500,000 occurred in just one year.

Joe's 750,000 occurred over four years.

So, Trump = 500,000 per year; Joe = 187,500 per year.

Year nine maths, innit?

Afraid of a little accountability now that your preferred party is in power and has to deliver on its election promises?

The concept of bearing full responsibility, where the buck genuinely stops with them, must be utterly terrifying for you. After all, there's no convenient scapegoat left to deflect onto now, is there?

So, with that reality in mind:

Oh averages. They hide a multitude of sins.

The cost of gas in the highest priced states is below last month. Just goes to show the volatility of fuel prices. Wink

We'll see how Trump goes.

It just seems like an injustice that so many who froth over him will not be in the US to feel the pain he causes.

They have no skin in the game so their devotion is just empty trolling.
