It seems that way, but we need to wait until they've recovered the black boxes and we know what happened.

Since Trump has been so quick to assign blame away from himself, I wonder if he'll apologise for politicising the deaths of the people involved if it turns out his gut feeling was wrong?

Yeah, don't bother, we know...

That's complete and utter bullsh!t. I know because I applied for a role as a trainee air traffic controller with Airservices Australia and went through the process. The only reason I didn't complete it is because of a change in family circumstances meant I could not move the family to Melbourne or Brisbane or Sydney any longer. The medical requirements to become an air traffic controller are akin to those required to be a commercial airline pilot. You certainly can't get in if you suffer from "suffer severe intellectual disabilities, psychiatric problems, and other mental and physical condition". So trust me, this is just more lies from Trump, although it won't matter what I say. His supporters will still believe his uninformed lies over truthful facts.

If you educated yourself and read the art of war and the 48 laws of power you would applaud Donald for following the wisdom of these enlightened texts.

Of course you need to sheet home blame and especially when the population is emotional.

Is the lefties intellectual so detached from reality ?

Trump's at war with the people of his own country?

He's meant to unite them and govern for everyone...

He, and you, have your priorities all wrong.

You're blinded by TDS that you're defending the indefensible, AGAIN.

The bodies aren't even cold, or even recovered yet and he's playing the blame game... WHAT!!?

How are you not only OK with this, but saying we should be applauding it!?

What is wrong with you.!?

Timing is critical, another split second and the dems would have been blaming Trump but he beat them and they are flummoxed.

No, you can't. I know because one of the people who I met at the assessment day was an American who was applying for a role here in Australia and we got to talking during the lunch break about the differences between Australia and the US. They have the same requirements as we do.

I have had experience training government staff, it was eye opening.

We were told no one fails, I said I can't sign off anyone that is not competent, the response was I only sign off to say they have completed the training. I responded by saying the certificate says "certificate of competency" not completion of training. This was the good bit, they said completing the training makes you competent.

Air Traffic Control training is vastly different due to the sheer number of lives at stake. It's hardly the same as a government accountant, where the worst that's likely to happen is a paper cut. To become an air traffic controller, you have to undergo intensive training and at a number of points along the way you are assessed/tested and if you fail, you can no longer continue the training. Your supposed training of government staff is nothing compared to this.

I concede your experience in not passing a training course out ranks my experience then.
