It's ICS - Immature Celebrity Syndrome - it's what happens when someone from the back blocks finds self suddenly in the limelight and with too much money on their hands - so they get into the booze or drugs and think they are above others and above the laws...
Cautionary note - the precise same thing happens with politicians....... once that gravy train is in full swing ... they rapidly lose perspective and become like the older brother played by Colin Firth in Pride and Prejudice - sitting in his carriage considering, after the will and his inheritance - how much or how little his sisters would require to live ... and reducing it as the discussion goes on...
Same here - they can start off as peasants themselves - but when you cop $200+k a year and All Found - every cost covered including your cost of travel to work (nobody else but the rich get that) and such - it's easy to start losing perspective and start thinking - "Oh - fifty dollars isn't much to take from an unemployed person to cover co-costs of healthcare" ..... or - "Gee - why can't those homeless get somewhere to live? It's only 3-400 a week for rent... and they get 450 or something...jeez!"
Amelia, sitting under her favourite yew tree down by the riverbank, sketching her drawings of nature and the clouds while awaiting dinner, looked askance at the long line of worker women wending their way home from her family's factory...
"Oh, dear!", she thought out loud.... "I do wish our workers would show some pride and spirit... look at them - all dressed in makeshift clothing and walking like the living dead to their homes! What will their children think of them? Disgraceful! Who - oh, why - can't they just show some CLASS for a change?"
