At the Oval Office alongside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US President Donald Trump says he does not support building Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip, a step further from his answer earlier today that he “doesn’t necessarily” back such a move.

“I don’t see it happening,” he tells reporters. “It’s too dangerous for people. No one wants to be there. Their warriors don’t want to be there. Their soldiers don’t want to be there.”

While Netanyahu himself early in the war called the prospect of resettling Gaza “unrealistic,” some of his far-right coalition partners have called for taking the step.

the United States has transferred at least 14,000 of the MK-84 2,000-pound bombs,
6,500 500-pound bombs, 3,000 Hellfire precision-guided air-to-ground missiles,
1,000 bunker-buster bombs, 2,600 air-dropped small-diameter bombs,
and other munitions, according to the officials, who were not authorized to speak publicly.

US has sent Israel thousands of 2,000-pound bombs since Oct. 7
While the officials didn't give a timeline for the shipments, the totals suggest there has been no significant drop-off in US military support for its ally.

You should be wary of the all-encompassing 'they' and 'we' - the Jewish citizens of Australia have every right to be protected - the same as 'we' as citzens of this nation are not responsible for the never-ending troubles of the Aborigines.

What Israel did in Gaza was fight terrorists - what Gaza did in Israel was a brutal murderous massacre .... there is a difference you know.... and 'they' are not the same and even within Israel there are varying groups of opinions.

This is it. This could be the defining moment for us the West.

If the USA is going to take over Gaza, and 'move' all the 2 million Gazan out. It would be like... ethnically cleansing the Jews in WW2 all over again. Now, lets assume that it is going to happen. So IF it happens, it will cost the US in the magnitude of hundreds of billions of dollars. The US alone will not have the man power to move 2 million people. So there will be killings and murders of innocent civilian to achieve this purpose. Furthermore... Australia will probably have to help out this ethnic cleansing. This will then lead to another neverending war in the middle east.

Bunker down boys and girls. We are in for a VERY rough ride.

They had a plan in Israel to evict the Palastinians into the Sinai desert. But they did not have the political capital or the military power to do it. Now, USA is volunteering. So any future acts of aggression will be directed towards the USA and its allies. We will probably have to help out as well.

If no countries wants them, then USA will make a place somewhere, and build a concentration camp. And when the cost gets too high. They will probably have to think of some 'final solution'. It is WW2 all over again.

Sadly, you're right.

However, Trump is well-known for backing down.

He talks big, but rarely backs up his verbal diarrhoea with action.

It only took a day for Canada and Mexico to put him back in his box.
