Feb 7^th, 2025 at 4:59pm $24.10 an hour All Australian workers are entitled to a minimum wage. This is the least you can be paid for doing a certain job. It's illegal for an employer to pay you less than the minimum wage. As of 1 July 2024, the national minimum wage is $24.10 an hour or $915.90 a week (if you work 38 hours).

Reply #1 - Feb 7^th, 2025 at 5:35pm Lots of people are paid a lot under the min wage - the youth wage is obscene, Disabled wage is also well below. Probably others too. How can you call it the minimum wage and then pay certain classes of workers much less or be allowed to work around paying them at all like with internships?
