The USAID Office of Inspector General, Inspections and Evaluations Division, is initiating an inspection of USAID’s oversight of Starlink satellite terminals provided to the Government of Ukraine.

Our objectives are to determine how (1) the Government of Ukraine used the USAID-provided Starlink terminals, and (2) USAID monitored the Government of Ukraine’s use of USAID-provided Starlink terminals.

The U.S. Agency for International Development Office of Inspector General was established on December 16, 1980, by Public Law 96-533, an amendment to the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961.

Our office oversees the programs and operations of four U.S. foreign assistance agencies:

In 2022, USAID and Starlink collaborated to provide 5,000 Starlink terminals to Ukraine, to give the country fighting Russian invasion access to Musk's advanced internet system, operated through SpaceX, as reported by The Lever.

"In addition to another ongoing audit on direct budget support, we are examining USAID's Energy Security Project, USAID's oversight of Starlink Satellite Terminals provided to the Ukrainian government, and USAID's efforts to protect against sexual exploitation and abuse in Ukraine," Martin told Congress.

"When completed, we look forward to sharing the findings of these reports with the subcommittee."

In short, you need more than two paragraphs to explain them. Generally speaking. I mean, you could probably do it in two if you left out the descriptions of the matters at hand, unlike what you did.

Do you think maybe Elon thought he wouldn't be cleared in this investigation?

According to this report USAID is the provider of starlink to the Ukraine government so starlink must have a contract with USAID and then USAID provided the service to Ukraine, so the question is did starlink have a contract with Ukraine
