Donald Trump surrenders in Atlanta in fourth criminal case brought against ex-president this year

Trump’s surrender in Georgia marks the fourth time this year the former president has turned himself in to local or federal officials after criminal charges were brought against him.

Stop taking him so seriously

Imagine if Hillary sent a hit squad of unelected, unvetted and unaccountable private citizens into various government departments, forcibly gaining access to information they have no right to, then exfiltrating and storing it on private servers, including personal tax, social security, medicare/medicaid information.

Would we get "nah, she's just one of the knitting circle, don't take it her so seriously"?

Authorised by the president.

You are making up shyte about unaccountable, forcibly, no right to, private servers,  personal tax, social security, medicaid.

The President does not have the power to override The Privacy Act of 1974, The Fourth Amendment or The Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.

DOGE is not a government agency, so these are private citizens and as such, the President cannot override the law and the constitution in these cases.

They have undergone no official vetting and could be foreign agents for all we know.

They're forcing their way into buildings and then using private security to prevent the authorised people from entering.  It is not acceptable, be it Trump, Kamala, Biden, Hillary, Obama, Bush, whoever.

The law and the separation of powers are there for a reason.

Just because it's your guy sitting in the Oval Office does not make this behaviour ok.

If you still think it does, then the rule of law and all the excuses you gave why Kamala couldn't be trusted will be been exposed as the bullshit lies they were.

The unelectected judge doesnt have the power to hide info from the prez on behalf of the political opponents of the prez.

These judges were appointed by the President and must be confirmed by the Senate.

Only SCOTUS judges.
This one isnt.

Federal Judges are nominated by the president and confirmed by the Senate.

I wasn't talking about SCOTUS.

I was referring to the actions by both Judge Paul A. Engelmayer & Judge Carl J. Nichols.

On February 8 Judge Engelmayer issued a preliminary injunction preventing DOGE from accessing Treasury Department records containing sensitive personal data, such as Social Security and bank account numbers. This decision was in response to a lawsuit filed by the attorneys general of nineteen states, alleging that DOGE's actions violated constitutional principles.

And in a separate case, Judge Nichols issued a temporary restraining order on February 7 halting the Trump's plan to place approximately 2,200 USAID employees on administrative leave and recall overseas staff. This order was in response to a lawsuit filed by the American Foreign Service Association and the American Federation of Government Employees, challenging the legality of Trump and Elon's actions against USAID.

They were both confirmed by the Senate, Judge Engelmayer on July 26th 2011 by a 98 - 0 vote and Judge Nichols on May 22 2019 by a 55 - 43 vote.

If you'll look at those dates, you'll find Judge Nichols who is stopping the actions of DOGE against USAID was appointed by Trump in 2019 and confirmed by a Republican-controlled Senate during Trump’s presidency.

It's not a conspiracy against Trump by the Dems, Trump is just trying to operate outside of the Law and those who have sworn an oath to the law, not Trump, are doing their damn jobs.

We can already see moves from Trump to remove these guard rails too...

Wake up you idiot.

Of course not, and it shouldn't stop you from sharing them.

It's just that you're constantly making excuses for Trump no matter what he does, then you complain about those you disagree with no matter what they do.

It paints you as a loyalist sycophant and we know pretty much what you're going to say, before you say it.

But it is interesting reading how you're justifying being a total hypocrite.  The reasons you give as to why you condemn those you do are simply convenient excuses to push your support for one person over another, you don't believe in the reasons you give since you're incapable of applying them to Trump.

And you're making excuses for a corrupt state of America that refused to be transparent to the American people.
Meh. I'll go with the lesser of two evils in Trump.

Hehe, no, I'm not making excuses, I'm pointing out, and rightly so, that those pushing the case that what DOGE is uncovering are examples of "corruption" have failed to actually prove it.

The claims travel fast and are gobbled up by people like you and the rest of the faithful, but the evidence by and large does not stand up to scrutiny.

And you can't claim to care about corruption when you support Trump getting rid of the independent bodies that are there to investigate corruption within the government and replace them with... DOGE...

What is Trump afraid of that independence in investigations requires his action to stop?

$50 million was spent on providing condoms to Hamas to make bombs to use against Israel!!!!  Only it wasn't anything like that even in the slightest.  Complete and total bullshit.

And still no correction posted by the White House, in fact, as of yesterday at least when I last checked, the lies are still up on their site.

If the foundation of your evidence is misunderstood, hastily investigated and upon checking found to be false data, you can't claim it's evidence of corruption unless it's from those doing the investigating.

Like for real, you know they got the financial data and did a CTRL + F, searched for "gaza" and left it at that.

That is not an investigation, let alone a forensic one that you can conclude anything but their entire job is not about uncovering the truth but pushing a political agenda and delivering a predetermined outcome as instructed by Trump.

This is the highest office of the land, more should be expected of them.

Yet time and time again, the bar is being lowered for Trump.

But that's not what he's doing.

Remember "Draining the swamp" and how he only made that worse two?

Once bitten, friend.

He lost the "trust me bro" he had in his first term, because now he has a record of lies.  He's not a political unknown who was a business genius on a reality TV show.  He has a term in office we can, and should point to.

And you can't even point to his business acumen anymore, because his business modem now is to grift his MAGA supporters.

No more will Trump be allowed to just spout bullshit and be believed.

He needs to provide evidence.

Right now, that evidence looks like this:

How bout that? It's all total bullshit.

If you care about the truth, if, you'd stop making excuses.

If...

Yes. That's EXACTLY what he is doing!

Will he succeed 'entirely'?
Probably not.
But hey. Good on him for giving it a go.

If savings are found in areas they no longer want to spend on, it doesn't automatically make the previous spending "corruption".

The US is also a major contributor, providing more than $5.2 billion through USAID since 1994.[7] In recent years, this aid has totaled around $600 million annually.[7] Since April 2021, the United States has provided over half a billion dollars in assistance for the Palestinians, including more than $417 million in humanitarian assistance for Palestinians through UNRWA, $75 million in support through USAID, and $20.5 million in COVID and Gaza recovery assistance.
