How many "mistakes" can DOGE keep making before they stop being mistakes?
• Lists the same contract more than once—for instance, a contract was counted three times, which inflated the overall total.
• Mistakenly reported amounts by mixing up units—most notably, an $8‑million contract with ICE was erroneously recorded as worth $8 billion, drastically overstating that line item.
• Credits savings for contracts that were already fully awarded (and even fully paid), meaning no actual recuperation of funds can be claimed.
• Sometimes includes contracts that were either partially or previously canceled, thereby “double counting” savings that don’t really exist.
What is the purpose of this performative "transparency" when, in reality, it amounts to little more than a glorified "Trust me, bro"? If the numbers don’t add up, if the claims fall apart under even the slightest scrutiny, then what exactly is being made "transparent", other than their sheer ineptitude?
How many times can they botch the figures, duplicate listings, misrepresent savings, and confuse billions with millions before we stop attributing it to mere incompetence? At some point, the question shifts from are they just bad at this? to are they doing it on purpose? Because if these blunders are truly accidental, then the level of failure is staggering.
If not, well, that’s an entirely different conversation, and a far more damning one.
Or do we not case because they're on team MAGA?
Surely at this point, it's clear they've not got the job by merit, is it time to cut them?
