There's no other plausible explanation for their complete and utter rejection of the facts and truth and instead accepting the lies and conspiracy theories Trump and his yes-men come up with on a nearly hourly basis.

That is a much longer discussion. There are geopolitical issues to consider, it's not just about Russia and Ukraine, but I suspect that sort of discussion isn't possible with someone so heavily impacted by TDS such as yourself.
