Why didn't God save them?
Those who were beheaded, were unrighteously killed [i.e. they were murdered].
Yet, those who were beheaded and killed, are at peace now.
Our flesh is a very 'little' thing.
Our flesh does little more, than 1/ enable us to act our will
in the world,
and, 2/ enable us to observe the occurrences,
in the world around us [in those places where our physical 'host' traverses].
Why didn't God save them?Because God was hoping that he would witness people like you condemning the murder [the unlawful killing] of innocents.
Did you ?
In 'the world' their deaths, was a 'headline'.
But did any of
"the great men of the earth" condemn their murder ?
....or did any of
"the great men of the earth" seek to immediately punish the wrongdoers ?
KJV1 Chronicles 28:9
And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind:
for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts:
if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
We ought to know, that 1 Chronicles 28:9 is addressed to.....not only David's son Solomon.
