Pity about FD's "Chinese incompetence" theory.

Any competent Chinese should be able to train a torpedo. It's the confusing 'capitalist-communist', 'turn right, turn left' from the Great Hall People Happy Clapping that made the accident.

The fact is that the Aust Navy allowed an incompetence act to wash up on a shore. Wether it's 'true' that it's one of ours, is debatable. "Mustn't scare the natives, if it's Chinese. We might be forced to do something about it and we don't want that because we're too scared to do something about it."

So why isn't Australia PREPARING for War?
What bigger hint do we need, than the Chinese Navy off our waters this far south?
Finland is ready for Russia.
We were NOT READY FOR JAPAN.
So Trump is going to get America to do our work for us?
He would say "Get your shyte together Oz!"
Personal responsibility!

The Chinese accidentally sent it too early. The Virginia subs should be available early in 2037 or maybe 2043 or later.

Looks like the Chinese will do a circumnavigation of Australia now:

Will they do more live fire exercises underneath commercial jet flight paths?

They're looking at the lack of defence spots around the Australian coastline and all the potential weak spots, which is basically everywhere.

Why you all being so paranoid?  The photo clearly showed a torpedo that is launched from a helicopter.  The torpedos that are launched from a submarine tube is alot larger, and targets capital ships.

And what is happening is just normal political exchange between the two countries.  We go to South China Sea, participates in drills on how to blockage their sea way.    They are here to circumnavigate the  Australia coast.

Now, if you think it is important for us to do this with the US.  Then, expect something like this to happen well into the future.  This is not the first time, nor this will be the last time.

Now, Jasin is asking why are we not preparing for war.  Well, with what?  We are spending 300 billion dollar going forward on nuclear subs - 6 of them, that will not be delivered for another 10 to 15 years.   We've bought tanks from the US, which does nothing.    And we are going to suffer tariffs very soon, coupled with ageing population.    There is very little that we can do.  We have to be realistic.

That's it, blocking China's shipping is an Ozzie tradition, torpedo a few junks, junk a few aircraft carriers, sink a Pilbara iron-ore freighter or two. 'G'day Mr Xi, we began shooting at yous a 1/2 hour ago'.
