Ahh so you're privy to those goings on?

Did the helicopter come and get you in the middle of the night?

BTW knucklehead most of the waters between Australia/Torres Strait Islands and Saibai Island are Australian territorial waters .... with the North East Channel being allocated as the International shipping corridor.

That's why the Chinese PLAN should have given the same heads up to our Govt as it did to the PNG govt 2 weeks earlier. They weren't do live fire drills up there.

1. You believe whatever Bwyan - you're views on my views are assumptive BS.

My views on your views are based upon your running 'round like a chook which has had it's head cut off.  There isn't a situation that doesn't alarm you, Gnads.  You're like an old woman which bleats at the first chance whenever something happens.  You refuse to celebrate Australia at all, you just moan and carp.  Tsk, tsk, tsk...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

2. I did not suggest Australia should "provoke" PLAN - more assumptive BS - not strategic thought.

3. More BS.

What are you suggesting then?  More surveillance, as if that will cure everything.  Tsk, tsk, tsk... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Quote:
4."lacking forethought and apparently not being willing to alert us to it's live fire exercise". So why was that diplomatic courtesy given to PNG 2 weeks earlier when no live firing was going to occur in their waters?

It seems that the whole exercise was deliberate as a muscle flexor to make a point ... a provocation as it were.

Never mind you failing to accept the deliberate provocation a fortnight ago when the Chinese fighter fired it's anti missile flares at our Orion Surveillance plane in International Airspace over the Sth China sea.
They lied accusing Australia of being in Chinese air space.

Do you see how one sided their actions and your excuse making for them are? ... never mind you defending our lack of monitoring capability off our coast line.

5. They had no right to be disrupting International Flights out of Australia because of their lack of diplomacy and consideration.
Imagine the shoe on the other foot. Roll Eyes

6. JINDALEE & NORFORCE weren't worth 2 knobs of goat poo in this instance.

JINDALEE and Norforce were worth a great deal more than you think.  Their problem is that they only cover the NW Coast, not the East Coast.  Obviously we need to spend more and improve our surveillance of the East Coast.

7. Of the 12 P-8A Poseidon aircraft the RAAF has how many were operational?
None of them were tracking/observing these PLAN vessels. We had to rely commercial airlines to advise on their live firing exercise.

The P-8 Poseidons were nearly all operational and were busy on other tasks.

8."The PLAN has proved they can push two ships a long way from China".

Yes and what should that tell you abut our defense and reaction capabilities being inadequate? Tsk tsk tsk Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

They were more than adequate.  Again, I ask exacly was what was wanted?  All out war with the Chinese?  Get real, we are treading very dangerous waters indeed if that is what you want.  Such Naivety, such foolishness, typical of a WOFTAM who knows bugger all about defence.  Tsk, tsk, tsk... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Poor, poor, little, Soren, what a WOFTAM you have proved yourself to be.  All alone out there, wasting our time with your constant Trolling and Sniping at everybody and everything you disagree with.  You are like a little boy who's thrown his Teddy out of his pram, bleating that the world is against him because it is full of non-White people who seem quite happily getting on with their lives. Tsk, tsk, tsk...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I'm not pretending to know anything, I just asked you some questions to try and clarify your statement. You were the one making dumb statements on a subject you are clearly clueless on. Cheesy
