What DL's ghostwriter means: Zalensky can come back when he's ready to cave to Putin.
Also, he'll have to say thanks again to JD Vance, who I'm betting wrote this.
There goes Day One, eh?
Better luck next war, Bobby.
Your error: you still think war in the age of MAD is necessary/acceptable to solve disputes....you are MAD, by definition.
An interesting test of Trump's popularity will soon arise: do the American people agree with Trump's stance on the Ukraine war.
"War is for losers" - as Trump once said, let's see if the public agree with him.
"I'm the most powerful man in the world" - which is true, being CinC of the Pentagon - who believes in using that power to avoid war.
Thing is, Trump respects strength and he actually believes - like Putin - nuclear weapons have a purpose, ie to avoid war, and he knows war with Putin is a risky business; "you are risking WW3", he told Zelensky.
Of course military brass and the mainstream media are already calling Trump "an embarassment" and saying "he should be removed from office".
So...you "freedom or death" losers want to risk war with Putin.
Wouldn't it be smarter to understand Putin's pov, and negotiate, to avoid war in the age of MAD?
Trump is the 1st leader who is prepared to use his power to fulfill the
envisioned role of the UNSC, ie, to maintain global security - a vision annulled from the beginning by an obsolete 'absolute national sovereignty' theory (hence the UNSC veto).
Anyone who wants to attack the Pentagon in the age of MAD , be warned.....hence the readiness of both Putin and Trump to negotiate on mutually agreeable terms, given Russia has the 2nd most powerful nuclear arsenal in the world..
(a quick look at previous posts...gawd, am I agreeing with Jasin? ....we are a hopelessly confused lot of bunnies...."the human condition", indeed).
