And at least a cease fire long enough to rebuild the whole country. Why bend my knees at US?

Refreshing to see someone who sees the value in negotiation, rather than risking war in the age of MAD.

Your blind "China threat" theory, for one: China wants sovereignty over Taiwan, given Taiwan is occupied by Chinese people; and Taiwan has never been a sovereign nation; and more-over Taiwan belonged to China under the Qing dynasty, until the Chinese "age of humiliation" (at the hands of Western powers).
