So much to learn - so little time and so little storage space inside the head -let alone the computing capacity to generate sense of reams of knowledge... I pulled one of my old books out and read a bit ...

In it the writer discusses the concept of the 'national security manager' or 'the president' (of a powerful nation), and the assumption on the part of some /many that such a person somehow inherits the ability to actually control events in some nation far, far away (that's why it's called Farfaraway, don-kay!  Because it's FAR FAR AWAY!).  Of course, such a thing is unrealistic ... not feasible in any way - and the writer looked at the sheer inability of such a being to control events in a single foreign nation - let alone in, for example - fifteen nations undergoing the struggle for their own way of doing things (sounds familiar).

Anyway - this thinking mind moved from there to the concept displayed by the 'demonstrators' for countless things in foreign countries etc - these very people - in claiming to oppose the position of their current government on such issues - are actually saying that 'the president/national security manager/PM etc' SHOULD and MUST be commanding things their way in those foreign lands.... again such a thing is not even remotely feasible or possible in any way.  And so their demand, while being absolutely futile, also places its adherents in a position of total belief in 'the great leader' (etc), and thus their 'rebellion' is nothing of the sort.

Regardless - NO nation or group of nations can actually 'dominate the globe' (shades of Life of Brian and the Romans in Judea)... as The Trump clearly understands.... the only issue , therefore, is whether or not his 'isolationist' stance will endanger allies.

I don't think so - they will, on the contrary, have to support themselves first and foremost.

Now then - to renew our lesson:-

You will note that nearly all of these 'demonstrators' who adhere strictly to the dictum that 'the big boss holds total power to do anything anywhere in the world so he's a dirty guy if he doesn't do what I want' - call any who disagree with their views 'nazis' .... yet their very own personal stance shows that THEY themselves are demanding an absolute and strong leader to do as he/she chooses.... i.e. a Nazi dictator.

So let us look at the difference between Hitler and Stalin - Hitler had a mass of perhaps oddball and confused ideas that cause chaos in the world.  What is not clear is if he actually ordered the Holocaust personally, or if he simply left such things to his 'subordinates' and gave them a pretty free hand to do as they chose, and shrugged about it being in accordance with his posted views while he got on with the important things of being a grand strategist and tactician.  Essentially it appears he pretty much left such things to his subordinates and didn't get his hands PERSONALLY dirty.

Stalin on the other hand, micro-managed as many aspects of Soviet life as he possibly could - and the result was a far higher death toll of the people of Russia and captured nations, and so Stalin was arguably a much greater criminal against humanity than Hitler...

That is why I have said, for years, that the difference between 'left' and 'right' extremes (sic) is the thickness of a cigarette paper and BOTH are Nazis.

So when these people protesting and demanding action by their 'strong man at the top' claim to adhere more to the ideas of the 'left' - what they are saying in essence is that they support an even worse mass murderer than Hitler.

We've seen this for decades now, even here in Australia - with the demand from these activist groups that Big Brother step in and crush their 'enemies' and impose their will for them. What those people never see is that they are themselves part of the problems and not of the solutions - and that they have chosen the greater of two weavils as their path to the future nightmare run by Big Brother.

Human nature - the hominid groupthink mind, the tribal fortress mentality - has failed us and persists in making the same errors over and over.
