He was fantastic as Jim Morrison of The Doors, and as Batman too.
A good looking guy. I wondered if he smoked. I found this

Val Kilmer has a history of smoking, and his throat cancer diagnosis, which resulted in the loss of his natural speaking voice, is likely linked to his long history of heavy smoking.

Patrick Swayze too was a heavy smoker.

Swayze was a smoker for 40 years, once mentioning that he had smoked 60 cigarettes a day. He stated that his chain smoking had probably contributed to the development of his disease, but continued to smoke cigarettes while undergoing treatment for cancer.
