Yeah, two hours is too long.

Him and his party are part of the LaRouche movement/cult.

Probably all you need to know.

His name didn't connect to that with Google and he's not mentioned here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LaRouche_movement

The Australian Citizens Party (ACP), formerly the Citizens Electoral Council of Australia (CEC), is a minor political party in Australia, founded in 1988 and registered with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

Affiliated with the international LaRouche movement which was founded by the late American activist and controversial figure Lyndon LaRouche, the ACP promotes policies focused on banking reform, economic sovereignty, and an independent foreign policy.

OK - we can now research it a bit:

I'm 1.51min in and I can honestly say I've enjoyed what this bloke has to say ... except his association with any Greens senators or MPs.

He brings to reality what a lot of people have intimated over the years about the 2 majors & who really pulls there strings - so they can continue to fleece the people.

Good grief our system is corrupt as the PNG govt.

I will listen to the last of it after beer o'clock.

The LaRouche movement has been accused of violence, harassment, and heckling since the 1970s.

Ah, an attempt at guilt by association of what some prats, probably in the US, may have done 50 years ago. Looking at what I remember from the US in the' 70s all sides of politics would be just as guilty of that. Alleged charges put up as to tar someone. How very Peccary of you.

You're a big part of why this blatant shyte keeps going.

I thought the same - but it started to pull me in - hearing all this stuff about corporations and their greed.

It smacks of all the same dodgy corporate actions that caused the GFC in 2007 to 2009 - costing countries and their taxpayers billions if not trillions plus the taxpayer bailouts that were handed out - wasted as bonuses for the very bastards that caused the problem.

Very few if any of the Corporate big whigs faced jail time - only some underlings "thrown" (Smithy grammar check) under the bus as scape goats.

And now it would seem that not one lesson has been learnt by govts around the globe and corporate criminals just went back to their normal criminal activity, only now it's been honed to perfection & infiltrated the financial/tax business of many countries - if you use Schmulows inference to nearly all OECD economies.

Whilst this is happening the Labor supporters and the LNP supporters are arguing the toss about how much tax corporates & big business pay in Australia - and they provide employment.

Well Professor Schmulow certainly answered that - none of them are paying tax.

I have to rethink my voting preferences for Sat the 3rd.

It will not be for the 2 majors nor will it be for any Greens or Teal numpties financed by another non tax paying billionaire Simon Holmes A Court.

Same, I know the order of the last few on the ticket but haven't decided on the top. Working from bottom to top so far I have Greens last, then Libs, Labor, Teals, but I'm thinking this guy will probably go to number one.

And yes, I watched the whole thing.

Citizens Party Senate Candidate for New South Wales

In  your link, I read this far:

"Andy Schmulow is fired up. His gripe? Companies are too big and too powerful. So much so, they’re threatening democracy’s foundations, corrupting politicians and bureaucrats with excessive lobbying and generous donations. Read More… (Note: Article is behind Pay Wall)

I'm not sure I want to pay for access,  because that's exactly what the Greens are saying, which is why the Greens are demanding these companies  pay higher taxes.

The Greens want higher taxes for tax-avoiding companies, and higher taxes for billionaires;  but Gnads says you can't tax the "job creators" - even though he aparently agrees with Schmulow.

Does Schmulow agree with Gnads, or the Greens, or something else?

You're a lying POS. What I said was that the excuse used when people talk about increasing taxes(which according to Schmulow they don't pay - any) for big corporations they trot out the mantra that they do pay tax and they employ lots of people........ as a reason not to tax them & make them pay it.

You are as dishonest as the day is long ... you're the very type of individual Schmulow was talking about - who are either bought politicians of the 2 majors - CEOS and executives of corporate consultancies like PWC & KPMG etc and the big 4 banks and the Australian Banking Association.

The CEO of which is Anna Bligh - the former Labor Premier of QLD who was booted out of office for selling of QLDs/the taxpayers state owned assets.

How convenient it is that this so called Labor politicians is a high flying corporate executive - fronting the Prime Minister - & telling him that the legislation changes made to make banks i.e their dodgy CEOs & executives accountable for their predatory & fraudulent business practices has to be changed.

You support that shyte?

Phuk off Noddy.

Thanks, so:

(google)

According to Matko Meštrović, emeritus senior research fellow at the Institute of Economics of Zagreb, Croatia,[3] LaRouche's economic policies call for a program modeled on the economic-recovery program of the Franklin D. Roosevelt administration, including fixed exchange rates, capital controls, exchange controls, currency controls, and protectionist price and trade agreements among partner-nations, although Roosevelt generally pursued trade liberalization.[4][5] LaRouche also called for a reorganization of debt world-wide, and a global plan for large-scale, continental infrastructure projects.[5][6][7] He rejects free trade, deregulation, and globalization

Hey, now I AM interested in Schmulow.

This requires further investigation... me agreeing with Gnads on macro-economic theory....?  Huh

I know Greg is on board with current mainstream neoclassical economics which is churning out billionaires while entire nations are going broke.....and even Trump thinks the world is stealing from the US....  Shocked

Not the world - a select group. Infiltrating govt depts, selling secrets to dodge tax and screw customers/shareholders in the majority of the OECD countries.

You'll have to ask Gnads that. As for the paywall, that's the newspaper. There is a link to a PDF of the article there right beside it.

Thanks, I'll look at it later.

I'm voting  Greens  next week , though I'm a paid up  member of Labor; I loathe Albo's cowardice in the face of Dutton's goading re capital gains and negative gearing tax breaks, surely there are fewer greedy rent-seekers than voters  who are desperate to access affordable rentals,  least of all own a mortgage.

Lets' see what Schmulow has to say.

You should have watched the whole video interview.

The Greens as a party are idiots. They may have a few in their ranks worthy of consideration as Schmulow has worked with them. The ones he mentioned are Senators not MPs.

Schumlow calls the 2 majors Liberal and Liberal Lite(Labor) 2 peas in a pod. SAME SAME - the difference being all smoke & mirrors.

And what's wrong with that?

It's obviously needed here and globally.

The GFC was a 5 min hiccup for these greedy corporate scumbags.

WTF would you know you never gave him the benefit of the doubt because you didn't watch the video.

Piss off. Why are you still here?

If you wanna waste your vote on a party like that, it's fine.

I have no problem with that - I'm not telling you what to do.

If you can’t decide then vote Informal. Informal has more integrity than the Greens.
