The hysteria and full-blown scare campaign surrounding nuclear power is nothing short of ridiculous. But, it's not surprising, coming from Labor, whose opposition to nuclear is purely based on ideology and not science. I notice Albo mentioned putting in only so-called "renewables", since most of the coal power stations closed in the last 3 or 4 years, rather than replace them with new cleaner coal power stations that actually provide reliable baseload power generation. Albo's actions (and inactions) on power have only lead to power bills going up.
are you talking about the coal power stations that for over a decade have been telling you they are past their end of life, asnd the conalition did absoluty nothing about except try to hamstring renewables? those coal power stations? and now labor is supposed to fix everything in a couple of years?
The truth of the matter is that it will take a decade to build up and repair the conalitions sabotage of the energy sector. You were told under gillard that the longer we wait to do something, the higher the cost of energy and t6he higher the cost of fixing it. The conalition didn't give a poo about energy policy other then using it to funnel funding to it's mining donors for something they were told was at end of life. They had a new energy policy almost every year so no wonder companies didn't invest in the long term. Don't pretend you care now.
As for nuclear, it is far to expensive, and aussies don't want it .... so stop pretending it is the answer
