Yes very much so.

As a recovered alcoholic and drug addict

I know this to be extremely true. I started doing drugs and drinking at the age of 11. I've actually seen demons many times throughout my addiction years. I see them in and around my husband of 27 years, he's an alcoholic. The more intoxicated he gets the more he behaves like those demons. I look into his eyes and he is not there anymore, just pure evil looking at me through his eyes. I'm not a bible thumper, jesus freak or religious person but I act right. I have a personal relationship with God and I know evil when I see it. The only way such beings can experience the drunk or high is through those of flesh that abuse substances. They latch onto us to experience those “pleasures of the flesh.” My husband was raised in a very religious family but is so ignorant to the realities of life and wrong doing. He enjoys the darkness and suffers the consequences of it. I keep myself in the light because I know there's no future in the darkness. I have zero time for demons.

Yes. Demons encourage the use of alcohol and drugs. They want death, murder, and mayhem and they will use addiction to control their flock. They can possess more than one person simultaneously.

Demons are supernatural beings who can lift your house up, with you inside, and drop it. If they want you, they don't need you to be intoxicated.

Pray. Talk to your Creator. Building this relationship will weaken the Demon's power over you. Demons target children and feed them lies. Teach your children to talk to God

This is the same story I have told any number of times. I can keep the details straight because I am telling the truth, not fantasy. Apart from a tiny amount of low dose codeine and Endones after the hip replacement operation I have never taken drugs apart from a little bit of marijuana.

As Larry knows damn well i turned 75 just a couple months ago, not 80, maybe that is Larry’s age?

Praying to a non-existent god won’t help. Have you considered seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist? Or maybe just massage? Can do foot reflexology, only have to take shoes and socks off. Relaxing, revitalising. I managed to shake off reactive depression that way in 1986.
