The Fifth Amendment
Aug 18th, 2022 at 1:32pm

“The mob takes the Fifth Amendment,” Donald Trump said in 2016.

“If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”

Nek minnit!

Former President Donald Trump, during his deposition in New York on Wednesday, ended up pleading the Fifth more than 440 times.

And yet...

It's almost as if he lies every time he opens his mouth.

Bullshitters are more harmful to society than liars and lying.

This is because liars actively consider the truth when they conceal it whilst bullshitters completely disregard the truth. "Bullshit is a greater enemy of the truth than lies are."

By the end of May, Trump had spent some 266 days of his first term at one of his golf clubs, outpacing former President Barack Obama, who had golfed 98 times by the same point in time during his time in office.

266 days.

Now now, Greggery, that's unfair. Only mob bosses take the 5th. If you're innocent, why are you taking the 5th amendment?

He'll spend his time as president in the Oval Office, working every day for the American people, not playing golf like Barrack Hussein Obama, can you believe that crap?

He can't stand loser one term presidents. He'll win so much. He'd never live it down if he lost to a guy like Sleepy Joe Biden, imagine that.

He'll pay down the deficit in his first term as president. No more government debt, think on it.

He'll build a big, beautiful wall from coast to shining coast, and we'll get Mexico to pay, believe me.

He's the most honest politician we've seen since maybe George Washington. And that's debatable. Maybe the most honest.

Lock her up? Yeah. Lock em all up.

Mr Trump's promises always come true in the end, no?

And when they appear in court, they turn up in wheelchairs breathing from oxygen tanks.

He's had a rough trot, Meister. Sheesh, give the guy a break already.

So unfair.

Well of course, if an individual is guilty of criminality, he/she should NOT, NOT, NOT, be compelled to provide 'evidence', which could then be construed by his enemies, to convict him/her of some crime.

Demanding that a 'suspect' must cooperate with a prosecuting authority, simply looks like 'a fishing expedition'.

It smacks of authoritarianism, in governance [by a state - think present day CCP China, think Russia under Putin, think North Korea, think Saudi Arabia, think the ISLAMIC republic of Iran.].

d-ill-show-you-the-crime.jpg

"Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime,"

- secret police chief Lavrentiy Beria, to Joseph Stalin.

If a prosecuting authority has any [real] evidence of any criminality, they should [and could] simply prosecute [in a court law] the particular 'suspect'.

Why not ?

Why would any honest prosecuting authority need a dungeon and 'thumbscrews',
or, to issue threats of imprisonment 'if you do not cooperate with this inquiry'.   ???

NOT NOT NOT, no?

Quote:
Donald Trump’s chief financial officer is expected to plead guilty to tax violations in a deal that would require him to testify about illicit business practices at the former president's company, two people familiar with the matter told The Associated Press.

Allen Weisselberg is charged with taking more than $2.4 million in off-the-books compensation from the Trump Organisation over several years, including untaxed perks like rent, car payments and school tuition.

The plea deal would require Weisselberg speak in court about the company's role in the alleged compensation arrangement and possibly serve as a witness when the Trump Organisation goes on trial in October on related charges, the people said.

More hilarium, Trump takes some time out of his busy golfing schedule to slap down the witch hunters and there is nothing they can do about it but go home and kick their dogs, Nancy is furious.

In other news Liz Cheney was annihilated by Trump and co, an obvious voter backlash for the jan6 saga and the raid on Don's home. The mid-terms and 2024 are looking good for Trump.
