They could have easily have become a nation of Accountants or Sportspeople instead.

Look what Politics and Military did to the Germans - turned them into Nazis.
These days, they prefer to just enjoy sport and music and are doing 'better' these days for it.

Go back into China's history and you will find those responsible for making China into what it is today.
