LOCK HIM UP?
Aug 25th, 2023 at 11:53pm

"Lock Him Up? A New Poll Has Some Bad News for Trump

A new POLITICO Magazine/Ipsos poll provides some bad news for Trump: Even as he remains the clear frontrunner for the Republican nomination, the cascading indictments are likely to take a toll on his general election prospects.

The survey results suggest Americans are taking the cases seriously — particularly the Justice Department’s 2020 election case — and that most people are skeptical of Trump’s claim to be the victim of a legally baseless witch hunt or an elaborate, multi-jurisdictional effort to “weaponize” law enforcement authorities against him.

Furthermore, public sentiment in certain areas — including how quickly to hold a trial and whether to incarcerate Trump if he’s convicted — is moving against the former president when compared to a previous POLITICO Magazine/Ipsos poll conducted in June. This latest poll was conducted from Aug. 18 to Aug. 21, roughly two-and-a-half weeks after Trump’s second federal indictment and several days after Trump was criminally charged in Fulton County. The poll had a sample of 1,032 adults, age 18 or older, who were interviewed online; it has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.2 percentage points for all respondents.

Here are some of the most notable findings from our latest survey.

1. Most Americans believe Trump should stand trial before the 2024 election

2. About half of the country believes Trump is guilty in the pending prosecutions

3. A conviction in DOJ’s 2020 election case would hurt Trump in the general election

4. There is considerable room for the numbers to get worse for Trump

5. Half of the country believes Trump should go to prison if convicted in DOJ’s Jan. 6 case

6. Trump and the GOP’s ‘weaponization’ defense appears to be having limited traction

7. Trump is the prevailing villain in the story of his indictments"

Most politics is at the 50% ratio. Civil wars are at around 50% ratio of populations. It's the 50% mark in voting that causes contests and friction, (pork barrels im marginal seats). Not good.

Don't pay any attention to them, Linus. Listen to the Real Americans.

They're the ones up on charges for Capitol riots and holding tiki torch parades to protest the removal of Confederate statues.

We love them, they're very special people. Look, there's good and bad on both sides, okay?

10. Defendant Trump initiated sexual contact with Plaintiff at four different parties.
On the fourth and final sexual encounter with Defendant Trump, Defendant Trump tied Plaintiff
to a bed, exposed himself to Plaintiff, and then proceeded to forcibly rape Plaintiff. During the
course of this savage sexual attack, Plaintiff loudly pleaded with Defendant Trump to stop but
with no effect. Defendant Trump responded to Plaintiff’s pleas by violently striking Plaintiff in
the face with his open hand and screaming that he would do whatever he wanted.

Judge in E. Jean Carroll Case: Yes, Donald Trump Is a Rapist

On Wednesday, Trump’s request for a new trial in the E. Jean Carroll case, after he was found liable for sexual abuse, battery, and defamation, was rejected. And in his desperate attempt to avoid accountability, the twice-impeached and twice-indicted former president may have unintentionally allowed himself to now be formally known as a rapist.

Trump’s team had requested a new trial in the case, arguing that the $5 million in damages he was ordered to pay Carroll was excessive, because he was only charged with sexual abuse. The jury had not found that Trump “raped” Carroll, a talking point Trump’s team often parroted.

But Judge Lewis Kaplan called Trump’s semantic argument “entirely unpersuasive.” He clarified that the jury found that the former president did indeed “rape” Carroll based on the common definition of the word.

Yes, but they're not. America has a thing called the rule of law, Bobby. If you do something wrong, they send the cops round to lock you up.

If you haven't done anything wrong and the cops try to lock you up, you say excuse me, officer, can I see your warrant? They then have to let you go.

Now, you're posting fake pics. The real pics are all over the internet. They show your Dear Leader and his co-conspirators being arrested, photographed, fingerprinted, given inmate numbers and released on bail. Come next year, they'll be in court, hearing evidence on how they tried to overturn elections in five key states, organised fake electoral delegates, demanded state election officials "find" them more votes and threatened the Vice Prez to illegally throw out the election results.

These are very serious crimes. They will lead to the discovery of more crimes as more and more people turn witness. Your Dear Leader is facing decades locked up.

He gave us a taste of his defence in his interview with Tucker. He said he was perfectly entitled to call up state election officials and demand more votes because he secretly won the election.

Raffensberger, a Republican, told him how he didn't secretly win. They'd done three audits and counted the votes twice. On the second count, they found less votes for your Dear Leader. They'd already explained all this and provided their reports. Your Dear Leader was forced to acknowledge this evidence.

So, your Dear Leader tried to rig the election, then fake his way out of it. The people in your pics didn't do anything. You're trying to fake your way out too, but do you know?

We're onto you. You're just sticking your fingers in your ears, saying la la la. We warned you this day would come, Bobby, you should have been prepared. We're also warning you now.

This time next year, your Dear Leader will be convicted and awaiting sentencing. What do you plan to do then?

Post another meme?

Matty - don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Only 1 person on each Trump jury has to be a Trump supporter and Trump walks.
Trump will be the next leader of the free world -
your world - your leader too.

Grand juries have already voted unanimously on every indictment, Bobby. If I was advising the big fella, particularly in his federal Florida case, I'd request a trial by judge.

Of course, I'd be advising him to plead guilty on lessor charges and not even go to trial. Otherwise, his legacy is going to have a sentence in the decades.

But why are you raising legal arguments? You've put up a pic of Nancy and co in cuffs. There's not even any evidence to press charges.

Are you a bot or just lying?

Trump always acted upon the legal advice of his lawyers.
You can blame them if they were wrong not our innocent leader.
